I hope he can land JJ Jr. for the 2027 class!Gotta give credit where credit is due he has stepped it up this cycle and has recruited his ass off. Let’s hope his group can have a breakout year
Agree I think the 2027 has potential to be even better I’m assuming they take only 4 guys thoI hope he can land JJ Jr. for the 2027 class!
Do you realize how easy his job will be next year, comparatively? The Denbrock passing offense won't just be a "theory" or "plan". It's so much easier to sell kids on a vision when they have evidence. Our running game is a great example. We went from C'bo Flemister/Jafar Armstrong (who I was really high on despite it never panning out) to Kyren, Estime, Love, Price, etc.I'm glad this class has some together for him. He's looking at a room of WR in a few years full of the sons of former NFL players. There is some talent in there.
Raising the NIL helped a ton.
BowdenAl Washington and Mike Brown got blowback for stuff completely out of their control
I wonder why we are now signing more premium talent at premium positions
Bowden
Feels like Bowden targeted guys at these groups. Now the coaches are being allowed to recruit who they want. Resources allocated accordinglyWell that but I would more say money.

Multiple media members said that Bowden was kind of able to target who he wanted (Meadows) and some coaches got complacent or werent very active in recruiting. Not sure these coaches apply, but possible!I know it’s easy to pin things on Bowden now but I doubt the second he left it just became - why don’t we simply recruit better players
Winning made things easier for Freeman to sell to the admin and a change in personne.I know it’s easy to pin things on Bowden now but I doubt the second he left it just became - why don’t we simply recruit better players
One could argue it is a lot of factors lolWinning made things easier for Freeman to sell to the admin and a change in personne.
After Carr throws for 4000 yards this year we will not have issues recruiting WR in the future
I also wonder if it's possible Bowden devoted a lot of time and resources to kids who were interested but unlikely to actually come here (Justin Scott comes to mind. Can't remember all the back-and-forth on Meadows but maybe him too?) or were high flip risk.Multiple media members said that Bowden was kind of able to target who he wanted (Meadows) and some coaches got complacent or werent very active in recruiting. Reports were that Bowden would target guys that maybe the staff a) didn't like as much or b) didn't think they would ultimately land here. Bowden was often the head recruiter for many guys and some coaches kind of coasted for different reasons. Brown came in and maybe he was focused on coaching, Washington idk, and based on the earlier commits I think Deland may have been the sameI also wonder if it's possible Bowden devoted a lot of time and resources to kids who were interested but unlikely to actually come here (Justin Scott comes to mind. Recognizing that the NIL situation was very fluid for awhile, and we were at a disadvantage that seems to have faded.
Yes we're a more appealing destination right now because of last year's success and our improved NIL situation, but fit still matters a lot for us and you have to focus energy on the recruits who are interested in buying what we're selling.

He was what we needed then, not now (like BK)Bowden gets a lot of credit, but early on a lot of the ideas and gimmicks that got a lot of positive publicity (gold bars and throne) were actually Landan Yount’s idea.
