We will gladly take them...we just dont have tens of millions of dollars on the outcomes of our games. Wish we did. The more money the more skepticism.
I agree it may have been a home team decision but I doubt it was corrupt. Possible but doubtful.

NIU wont make the play offs but they could end up maybe 10-2 (Mac schedule an all).....so who knows, maybe we see ND in a bowl game if you guys miss out on the playoff. Good story line. Lots of good football left.

We’ll have our next great QB in by then so look out.

Does anyone know if Mitchell Evans has another year of eligibility

PI is always debatable. I have a still shot of that 4th and 2 where the ND DB has his right arm wrapped around the waist of the RB well before the ball was thrown. I ignored that. Spotting the ball in the closing 30 seconds when everyone can see it's a bad spot is different. PI is like holding....could call a lot more than they do

I’m confused.

Did you come in here for “honest input,” or to argue everyone’s response to your question seeking “honest input” and explain why the input you requested is wrong?

Seems like you have created your own input, and are wasting people’s time. We are too busy fighting each other right now, take a number.

Who cares there was quite a few players that came back to win and go to the playoffs. Game 2 and that’s shot. At the end of the season you will probably se some important players move on and not come back.

One loss doesn’t take us out of the playoffs. It’s an uphill climb, but let’s see how the rest of the season plays out.

I’d just like to know because if he comes back it will be a better team than if he doesn’t. I don’t like the TE room moving forward.

I applaud your positivity but it isn’t like the OSU game last year where we played tough against a good team. This was NIU and they out manned us for 60 minutes, our HC looks lost on the sidelines and has to ask graduate assistants for on field decisions and on top of that can’t get his team ready for lesser opponents and a QB that should be selling insurance.

Zero passing TDs through 8 quarters. We're do far behind in attracting QB/WR due to decade of irrelevant at these positions, but somehow, against all odds, it's getting worse.
The frustrating part is not only did we pay handsomely for RL, but also, in retrospect, we have multiple options on the bench that we would likely be 2-0 with right now. So not only are we wasting a year of QB development, but we're also wasting big bucks on RL in a zero-sum game that is NIL. Brutal.

They might not be 2-0 but the passing game would be better and that’s a fact.

My pulse felt like it was going to burst out of my neck. I watched the entire game in silence and the only venting was done in the game day thread. I live in northern Illinois and this is a tough beat.

If RL starts I won’t watch next week. It’ll be the first game I intentionally skipped in 40 years. I’m too old for this crap.
Same. I don't know him from Adam, but RL seems like a great kid. That said, he's a great kid likely making 7 figures that's cost me a lot of time and money. If MF doesn't have the stones to make the change, then I'm not wasting my time on MF and RL.

They’re professionals now and should be treated as such. Years past I would defend any player, but not the NiL transfers. They’re here for one reason and should be held accountable.

Exactly right. They aren’t kids anymore more. They can vote, some Are getting paid more than people make in the blog. They deserve the criticism.

Sun came up this morning. World didn’t end.
This is the mentality that is holding the program back
lol fair. ND coaching staff probably woke up, saw the new day, and said “ok, we’ll be fine, Riley, let’s get better”. Which, ironically, is basically what Elko said to RL after the Texas A&M game.

If key members of the program woke up feeling anything other than totally pissed off, I’m not buying in. Enough of these platitudes and hopeless optimism. We need hard conversations about where we are and what we need to do moving forward.

Did Love get a touch after he scored that TD?
Not sure. I think the track coach took him out of the stadium for more hurdle practice. That run and the 1st TD drive was only thing that us Irish fans could ENJOY the whole game! I'm just thankful that I didn't buy tickets to be at the game! 2 Ints.; 2 blocked FG; outgained in total yardage by 102 and time of possession by OVER 9 minutes .... FUCK!

I'm not sure why, but this one hurts more than the others.
