Was a solid Stanley Cup final, however the PENS just looked so much faster and more skilled. Congrats to all the PENS fans out there.

Yeah, it sounds official... I'm not sure I'm a fan of expansion at this stage... when you have multiple teams running at or near a loss you would think that would be the prominent issue, not forcing more hockey teams into markets where hockey is hardly even a thing...

The Coyotes are a mess. If they don't get an arena closer to downtown, they might as well go to Vegas.

I could actually see this working really well to be honest.

Over 13k season tickets sold to a team that isn't even there yet. But guess hockey isn't a thing in Vegas

Sure. Atlanta Thrashers did the same thing initially if I remember correctly, how'd that work out?

Point is they should focus on stabilizing other franchises first imo...

Agree. Franchises like Carolina, Columbus, and Arizona are on life support, and here we are expanding again.

I see Columbus and Carolina being revived by a playoff season or two, but like I said earlier, AZ is a lost cause unless they move into the East Valley

Carolina should move back to Hartford.

It's official NHL is headed to Vegas!! Starting 17-18 season! So pumped

Good for the hockey fans in Vegas. I really hope it's going to work out. They were saying that 13k season tickets were already sold. Is it really people buying them, or the casinos?

Anyways, a lot of people are pretty pissed off at the NHL around here. They have been toying with us for a while now.

As far as im aware no casinos were aloud to buy tickets, only small business and individual fans. I know a few people who picked up anywhere from 2 to 8 tickets

I am so very happy to have Captain Stamkos back in blue and white for the next eight years! All the media pundits who have had him in Toronto, Buffalo, or Detroit since January can suck it, and need to give up their credentials.

What a classy move by Stamkos, taking a lower salary to stay and get a Cup for him and the city. Might have become my favorite player of all time with this move, another future Cup or not....

"Gloooooorrrryyyyy, glory Captain Stamkos!!!!"

I know a lot of people were skeptical of the World Cup of Hockey but it has been dank so far. Hockey is hockey and hockey is the best sport around. Things are very bleak for the US with Europe winning 2 games already. I like team North America, they are a fast paced and aggressive team, I like it.

Canada is still the clear favorite, but I could see Sweden making a nice run with their defense and goaltending.

USA hockey needs a complete overhaul. What a joke, torts and dean need to fired into the sun.

Usually the Canadian/American rivalry is quite heated, however last Friday at the WCOH kickoff in Toronto when the American team got introduced nobody seemed to care. It was shocking to see the crowd just let a collective "meh" out. Even the Russians got booed more!

Time to get rid of the old dinosaur's in charge and bring in the new blood.

(First post about hockey, typical Canadian hoser)

You never see anyone on the Flyers doing cool stuff like this... you know, like visiting ND and chilling with the fans, or getting to have a day with the Stanley Cup....
