Yeah, but it also has no "no movement" and no "no trade" clauses so that is good and helps mitigate the length of term.

WHOA.

I'd heard that the Hawks are trying to get Kesler, and I love the idea. He is exactly the type of center they need, an agitating, two-way center to play next to Kane. It certainly doesn't hurt that Kesler and Kane have played together as linemates in two Olympics now, IIRC, and have great chemistry.

Those are pretty bright prospects the Hawks would be shipping off. True, we don't really know what we have in Teuvo, but the sky is the limit for him. Showed great hands and vision in the little time he played with the Hawks. As for Leddy, we have other promising young D-men, especially Clendening, also maybe Rundblad; but Leddy is a great skater who shows a lot of promise, and we've invested a lot in bringing him along. I'd hate to give up on him. But that's why Stan Bowman gets paid the big bucks, to make those tough decisions.

I also heard Jason Spezza's name thrown around as a target for the Hawks. One way or another, they really need a second center to reach the next level.

Weird trade by Toronto, i mean i understand they wanted a RD, but this seems like a really bad trade. I guess it depends on Gunnarson and his hip.

Aware, not fluent, and skeptical ... especially Corsi. After every period for Buffalo they would show Corsi analysis and made it seem like we were doing a lot of things right until you compare it to what you just saw for 20 mins lol

Yeah i don't get Corsi, it seems flawed. For example skating into the opponents zone and just firing a shot is better than having a team pinned in cycling and not getting a shot off.

There are several people on Twitter who I recommend to follow that are knowledgable in the advanced stats. They're pretty good follows and help to paint a better picture.

WOW. Jori Lehtera also has come over from the KHL after he decided to stay last year. Very unexpected. Blues just went from 0 real play making centers to 2 in one hour.

Blues have to be the Stanley Cup favorites at this point.
