I can't for the life of me figure out why they won't take the Chicago area market to the Blackhawk's game.

What the fuck! I want to watch the Blackhawks (as good as the Pens and Rangers may be).

First off fuck Alain Vigneault, once an evil VC Cannuck always a Cannuck.

Second a special thanks to the rest of the New York Rangers for ending that OT very quickly.

Playoff coverage kills any chance of you rooting during other games. It all boils down to, "don't give a shit, somebody score, and do it NOW"

Unusual game.

The goaltending is a big reason for the difference in score.

Bottom line Hawks played somewhat sub par hockey tonight and won this game by 2 goals with a 3rd empty net goal for good measure.

I am very optimistic about the series because I feel the Blackhawks will only play better.

What a disgusting goal by Kane. This series won't last long if Bryz is in net the whole series.

Quick was really good except on that first Ducks goal. He was so far out of position and got beat. After that play, you could really tell he made it a point to stay home. Or, as Mrs. GO IRISH!!! likes to say, "Stay in your house Quick!"

Gaborik and Kopitar were amazing. The injuries to Kings' d-men are troubling, but they have some guys they can call up.

No matter what, it is a gorgeous Sunday to live in Orange County as a Kings' fan!

Well the Rangers haven't won a game 2 or two consecutive games in like 10 years so I'm not getting my hopes up today.

Yeah, nice win for the Hawks today, huh? A bit lucky that the Wild didn't get another goal or two. They looked really tough at times and had some good chances, but just couldn't sneak enough pucks into the net. More great stuff from Crawford, especially that save where he used his stick to swat the puck on to the top of the goal. Amazing.

Hawks fans, what did you think of the lineup? I liked that Q went with Versteeg, Morin and Nordstrom over Bollig. Against the Wild, I think you want stronger skaters over tough guys. But they missed Shaw today ... Nordstrom doesn't have his toughness or skill and I thought he looked really shaky at times today. Hope Shaw is back soon.

I thought the defense in the middle of the ice was much better. Blackhawks where a bit better in limiting transition opportunities for the Wild.

I don't put much stock in the lineups because Q changes them so often. My philosophy in sports is you generally want consistency in your lineups to develop some chemistry but the Blackhawks have been consistently inconsistent in terms of mixing up the lines. It is what Q has always done.

I think having stronger skaters is the way to go. I also think this a terrible matchup for the Wild. I just don't see anyone out skating the Blackhawks in a 7 game series.

The Blackhawks have quite a bit of room to improve. They have yet to play their best in this series yet still lead 2-0. If they don't improve it could be a long series with home ice likely being the difference. If clean up some things though I don't see how this series goes longer than 5 games.

Once Shaw comes back I would like to see him and Versteeg/Morin over Bollig and Nordstrom. I'm not completely sold on Nordstrom just yet, I think he could develop into a good role player but not this postseason. I like Bollig but he has had some let downs and sloppy turnovers recently, most notably the one that lead to the Wild's game tying goal in game 1.

I blame the coaching (in case you haven't figured out I dislike Alain), though I think the Rangers have a good shot in this series. It may come down to just how good Henry L is between the pipes.

Agreed on all counts. Nordstrom is a great skater and I like his ability to get where he needs to be, but he had some bad turnovers and struggled to control some loose pucks that he really should have had. He's just not ready. I like that Bollig hits and brings a lot of toughness, but there's a drop-off in skill with him. Morin was great in that late-season stretch leading up to the playoffs and I'd like to see him play if Q wants to shake things up and sit Versteeg.

I thought Carcillo looked good for the Rangers last night. Good for him, after having all the injury problems that kept him from finding a role on the Blackhawks.

To say the least if the Ducks don't win game 2 they are done. I'm thinking they are done anyway. Kings got a lot of momentum right now.
