So when is St Louis going to hit their slump? It happens to every team, every year. The have won 8 of their last 10. And 12 of their last 15. They have been on fire for basically a month straight. They have to slow down eventually, right?

Haha. No im not mad at all. I love the fact that your team has already beat the Hawks twice, and have a damn good shot at roughing them up later in the year before the playoffs Id much rather see St Louis make a run than Chicago.

I guess I just didn't see them coming. I knew they had something going last year, but I didn't think they were legitimately the best team in the league, and they arguably are the best right now.

They have been on the verge for more than just one year imo... I'd be happy to see them finally get a cup if that's how it plays out... though you know how the playoffs go...

Hawks never went through a slump last year. I believe they only had one three game losing streak. It was in the playoffs against Detroit.

STL is good. Not sure they can beat the hawks in a best of seven.

Last year is different because everyone played less games. And NO I am not saying this to belittle their Championship last year. Last season was shorter, and the games were closer together. Its amazing that the Hawks didn't really slump. But just about every year a team goes through its slump, whether its 2 weeks or a month. Im waiting to see when St Louis will hit their slump. Colorado is already slowing down a bit. I think they just lost 3 in a row a week ago, and I know they just won in OT the last 2 games. So they almost just blew it on 5 of their last 6.

Looks like the Blues next 3 are on the road against COL, SJ, and LA. That's not going to be fun for any team.

The East is in shambles right now. 8 of the top 10 teams in the league are in the west. I don't know if that means the East is beating each other up like in the past, or if the west is just that much better.

For a lot of teams that are hot early in the season, the Olympic break is going to be a challenge. 19 days off is going to test a lot of teams. It is going to be interesting to see how teams come back from that kind of layoff.

Looks like I jinxed the Blues. They just lost their last 2 games.

The Hawks game last night was pretty good. Glad to see Dallas steal a win up there at the Madhouse.

Zetterberg is out for 2 weeks. Not sure when Datsyuk will be back. I smell some more production from that 3rd line in the next week. I'm driving up to the D to see the Wings play Florida on Saturday. Kinda bummed that Z wont be playing, but either way Im pumped to just get back up there for a game.

That's why I said Dallas stole the win! LOL. When Chi went down 0-2, I def thought they would just come back and win like they usually do... but instead I was pleasantly surprised.

Seriously! I was on the edge of my couch for all nine rounds. Jones looked really cool and calm. Loved how the team mobbed him after he won.

I am really happy with the Kings goaltending in Quick's absence. Hopefully Quick will take all the time he needs to fully heal and he won't rush back too soon.

Yea, but that league is crazy. A lot of talented guys don't see past training camp because it is a little too crazy for them. I probably exaggerate, it's a lot better than it used to be.
