The Kings are gritty (and skilled), you gotta accept that. Down 2-0 in the series, they ratcheted it up a notch, like any playoff team worth their salt does. Now it's the Blues turn to follow suit.

*id like to see the Blues come back. We are staring down the barrel of 3 West Coast teams left, meaning I gotta stay up until 1 to watch. Bummer......

It is going to be a tall order for the Blues tomorrow night. Staples Center is going to be rocking! The wife and I will be there and it will be a good time. Sutter is going to have the boys ready!

GO KINGS GO!!!

We have to win this. I don't want to have to win away to stay alive. That's a scary thought.

I hope we come out and actually skate like we want to win and will work to do it (finish checks, good forecheck, Letang doesn't turn the puck over in our own zone 1 billion times, don't turn the puck over in the neutral zone period, don't be sitting in the box on dumb (expletive) penalties).

everyone points to MAF and with reason... but the Pens are 2-2 right now because they continue to lose just about EVERY battle at mid-ice... crisp clean passes and get the puck into the offensive zone and keep it there... that's what to look for tonight... if they have problems it's a game... it they don't they should be fine.

I agree with everything, but especially the bolded. MAF let in a couple of softie's but to lose he didn't let in 4 softies (we lost by 4 and should be winning by 2, IMO).

Regarding the habs, they are one of the major reason why the Nordiques left in the first place. A lot of older folks still hate them or at least would not cheer for them in Quebec City. Hopefully, we can get a damn team back. It's a guarantee sell out every night. Pretty stupid that we don't already.

I figure Quebec will get a team in the next five years be it Pheonix or someone like Florida. Quebec already draws around 10 000 for the Remparts and the Coyotes averaged 12 000 last year. I think an NHL team in Quebec could get up to 15 000 relatively easy and Patrick Roy wouldn't even need to move to become a head coach or gm

You made too much sense here, which is probably why it won't happen.

I remember when I first heard there was going to be an NHL team in Arizona..

For the record two of the three cali teams are doing more than fine... the third (Ducks) is at least 'solid'...

Florida?? yeah.

Understood, and I was thinking about adding something similar. But my point still stands. I just think they should spread the game around.. That's all

Blues just can't finish. If you're not gonna play the CPR (Cracknell-Porter-Reeves) line anyways then I don't get not carrying Tarasenko. Blues have been the better team in probably 2/3 of the periods but just can't finish and give up crappy goals (see Jackman Game 2, 4, 5).

Blues need to lose some of their depth and go out and get a 40 goal a year scorer

Thought the Blues outplayed the Kings last night. The Kings don't panic and are just the more composed experienced team.

GO KINGS GO!!!

Big game tonight! Staples Center is going to be rocking! The wife and I are heading up early to take in some of the fan festivities.

My wonderful lady has already agreed to be my designated driver so I can get fired up with some Jaeger.

This has been a fun series to watch and tonight should be more of the same.

GO KINGS GO!!!

Won't be able to watch the game but the Blues are gonna take it back to St. Louis w/ David Backes playing the role of David Freese.

If the Wings lose Sunday, the battle for LA should be epic.
Too bad the games will be on so late, i'll probably miss a few of them.

What a game! I have no voice and I am pretty pumped up! The last two minutes were as loud as I have heard Staples. It was a very exciting game.

Lots of credit to the Blues. They played a helluva series. Very glad we were able to get out of this series and advance.

Huge thanks to the Wings for helping us to get a couple extra days of much needed rest!

First career playoff game after being benched for the first 3 games, give the kid a break.

Everyone that has watched this series knows the Blues have been the better team against "the defending champs"

Except where it matters most.

And why would you put the quotes around the last part? They actually are the defending champs. The quotation marks would be more appropriate around the words "better team" in that sentence.

Ha ha...that's pretty funny. What say ye STL? Why put quotes around something that's true?

As far as the series and who was better, the only thing that matters in the end in sports is the scoreboard. The Blues might have been 'better' but they're going home, so in the end they weren't better. Just like ND IMO was better than Michigan the past 3 yrs, scoreboard indicated that we weren't in 2 of those games, and that's all that matters, sadly.

Kings-Ducks would be insane! I think GO IRISH's head might explode lol.

Didn't watch the game because of prom (haven't slept since Thursday) but a goal by Penner w/ 1 sec left pretty much sums it all up.

Blues are still a player away.
