Y! SPORTS: Prep player hurls stick into crowd, celebrating championship-winning goal (VIDEO)

EPIC. This is my school haha (I'm in the second row). Most exciting moment in sports I have ever been too. The goal and celebration by player and students as now been on Rowdy Gentlemen and Yahoo

Hehe. This is funny.
I have seen a guy jump over the window and get in a fight in the bleachers. He got banned from minor hockey. So many crazy **** during my career, but youtube and social media wasn't really around...
When I played Juniors, some guy from the other team hit a guy from behind and our guy became unconscious(scary moment). Obviously, a brawl started and that same guy fought 3 different guys 1vs1 from our team including the goalie. Our coach was kind of prohibiting us from all jumping on the ice. We were in first place and the playoffs were coming. On his way out, he took his top off and waved at the crowd like a champion... He got expelled from Junior hockey(He also broke my mouth piece during that game, but that wasn't very glorious). The next week he was playing semi pro, which is a known league for excessive violence(though, it has gotten better)... I think he might have hit a ref that was trying to contain him after the 3rd fight, hence the suspension. I can't remember everything, which is probably a direct result of the number of concussions I had playing. This concussion thing is pretty new to hockey. Used to be that unless you were unconscious, you would continue playing no matter what. That was kind of stupid looking back, but it is what it is.

They already are at 29, but I digress (you want "consecutive"), they've already made the entire league's collective butts pucker for almost half the season.

The best part is they are doing this during a condensed season. They are getting every team's best shot every night without much rest, while opponents like Columbus, Edmonton, etc. (nothing to play for on random nights) can rest, then play their Supe Bowl against the Hawks.

Anybody see my boy Marc Staal get his faced destroyed by a puck last night?

Also picked up Roman Hamrlik off waivers. Starting to get things rolling.

Hamrlik is garbage. Do not like. Fortunately, latest report is that a full recovery is expected for Staal. Out indefinitely at this time.

As a waiver wire pickup, can't argue against it. Cost nothing in terms of prospects so why not give it a shot.

So glad to hear about Staal. Watching replays I am assuming that it hit just above his eye. Scary stuff.

I guess in a shortened season the Hamrlick move makes more sense. God help me if they re-sign him though.

Yeah, appears as though his brow caught the majority of the puck. Either way- scary stuff. It's high time the NHL mandates visors. No reason not to.

Lol. This is so funny. Yeah Edmonton who is 3 points out of a playoff spot rests to take their best shot against the Hawks.... Sure. Great streak no doubt but don't start with that kinda crap it's laughable.

I agree that what Chicago has done thus far is nothing short of amazing. Granted, it is a shortened season, so it is a bit different, but look at the past history of President's Trophy winners over the last 20 or so years. Clearly the regular season means absolutely zero.

No one is going to care about the President's Trophy and the regular season records that were set if the Hawks can't bring home the Cup.

Exactly. The Kings and Devils were an after thought to a lot of people last year going into the playoffs

Hawks have to be somewhat relieved the run is over. Now they can relax a little bit and start resting guys more.

The craziest part is even after a meteoric start, the Ducks are still right there. I agree the Presidents Cup has historically been more of a curse than a blessing.

I think the West, other than Chicago and Anaheim is pretty weak this year though, so I'm not too concerned about a hungry 7 or 8 seed taking the Hawks lunch money in the first round.

Furthermore, finesse teams like the Hawks always have their hands full with physically intimidating teams like Philly and Boston, so I'm very curious to see how a game against Boston will look.
