Did not see this coming. Thought it might be close or a Minny blowout... did not ever foresee this curb stomping.

Professional teams with fight songs are embarrassing. I was at a rich Philly person's wedding last year and they hired the Eagles pep band and the whole wedding sang that dumbass song. It was the cringiest thing I've ever see.

......you are full of horrible takes tonight. Why on God's green earth is a team having a song "embarrassing"?

I just wish people would get off Brady’s jock. He’s a great QB but the defense bails him out year after year big game after big game. The biggest thing they’ll talk about is his 5 Play 30 yard TD drive to put them ahead. One of the announcers were saying “ he does it again”. Just like the strip sack in the super bowl. Belichek is the GOAT and his defenses are always coming up with big play after big play to put Brady in these situations. No QB in the history of the NFL has had a coach or defense like this for this long.

I hear that. Although his career was shorter I would say Joe Montana was in a similar situation as Brady. Great coach, really good defenses and great supporting cast on offense.

What makes Tom Brady even greater is he had time to leave Foxboro and drive down to Philly and play QB for them last night too. Incredible.

I get tired of the incessant Brady hate. The dude is going to start his 8th freaking Super Bowl. He will now have started in 15% of all Super Bowls.

27 postseason wins (next closest is Montana at 16)
12 AFCCG appearances (Pittsburgh has 16 appearances in their whole history)
8 SB starts (next closest Elway at 5)
5 SB wins and counting (next closest Bradshaw and Montana at 4)

Obviously he didn't do all of that by himself but he's the only player linking the 2001 team to today. Despite a revolving cast of characters on offense he has been steady and excellent. I know QBs get too much credit a lot but damn some people (not you necessarily) don't want to give him any.

I will just say that Bellicheck won 11 games with Matt Cassel and went 3-1 with backups and third stringers last year. So no, I won't give Brady credit. I will give credit to the coach.

Brady is 1 of 3 QB's in the league that when the game is on the line, I want the ball in his hands BUT Belichick is the reason Tom Brady is Tom Brady. Belichick is the king of preparation, in game coaching and adjustments at halftime. He controls the draft like no one I've ever seen and coaches up players that most of us have never heard of. Nick Foles looked like a world beater yesterday but could be in for a long night in the Super Bowl. If Belichick can confuse one of the GOAT and students of the game in Peyton Manning several times, I'm sure Foles can fall victim to his genius as well. I'm a Bears fan in my heart but love the Patriots because of the genius of Belichick.

That's just salty hate.

I honestly feel, for the most part, there are two schools of people who give a shit on this discussion that just never seems to end:

1.) Brady is the GOAT, greatest football player to ever live, period, any other opinion is just jealousy, hatred or stupidity. The vast majority of success NE has had is all due to Lord Brady of Bawston.

2.) One of the best ever at his position... has had his scandals, has had a historically fortunate run with era/rules, division, talent and playing under quite likely the greatest coach the sport has ever seen and ridden it all to one great career... but, If you're an option one guy, you're overrating him in the grand scheme of things.

I really do believe school 2 is just a reaction to the over the top nature of school 1. If people would give more credit to NE's defense over the years, the offensive weapons, the coaches and such and mention Brady with Elway, Montana, Unitas, Graham, Manning, Marino and all the rest no one would really blink. It seems like to many in the option 1 crowd though mentioning any of those names with Brady or just bringing up anything I have in the last two paragraphs= "blind salty hate." And so the World Turns.
