With the news of Ray Rice only getting a 2 game suspension for upercutting his fiancee, I just wondered what the board's thoughts were on how the NFL handles player conduct and what their priorities should be when enforcing their policies.
To me, if it's about "protecting the shield" then they've completely lost their compass. Josh Gordon is losing a year for weed and Pryor lost 5 games for violating NCAA rules before he was even a professional, but Rice misses fewer games than both and Irsay may never be punished for his DUI arrest.
Their enforcement policy just seems completely off to me, but what do you think? Also, feel free to discuss players currently in hot water with the league.
