Mine is non-PPR league as well. Changes the dynamic a fair amount. I would be curious to hear thoughts on values in the different format.

I would value a Top 10 RB over a second tier QB and top tier WR. With the #3 pick you should have either a top flight RB or QB available. I would jump on that and put off WR.

I am keeping Forte while dropping DT and A Brown (both of whom I would pick before Dez). Granted we do have 12 teams so filling 2 RB slots is exponentially more difficult than your 8 team league. With DT, AB, Golden Tate and Kelvin Benjamin I was stacked at WR but scrambled at RB - especially during bye weeks for my main guys (didn't help that my 3rd round pick Ray Rice kind of f-ed me over).

Samesies, I would take Forte in the OP's scenario as well.

Murray and Lynch as a top tier RBs? Aren't they in the AP, Forte, Bell, Lacy, Charles group?

I think Lynch is in the same group, but Murray has real question marks. I think that he will be, but until we know for sure how he fits in that offense, who knows? Plus... let's not forget that Sproles and Ryan Mathews in that RB corps. So while he will get more balls thrown to him, he is going to get less touches than he did in Dallas.

Forte is probably 3rd of my 3 for me. I'm scared of the offensive change and him aging. It's not PPR so he doesn't gain value there.

His new offense is run focused and has created several great fantasy RB's. If you aren't getting PPR, then wouldn't that make the RB position even tougher to draft?

Do you have a flex?

Fair point, he will probably be available later. One of the reasons I ended up with him was he fell to me. Maybe I should reconsider Demaryius Thomas or Antionio Brown as my keeper? If I do that I feel like I would get pinched again looking for that #2 RB that is so freaking valuable in a 12 person league. Forte is not going to skunk you with a 2 point performance, much less of a crap shot than many RBs out there. May not be PPR but 10 yards receiving counts the same as 10 yards rushing.

Remember, Forte is in a contract year with minimal options behind him. Brandon Marshall leaving should add value to Forte as well. Close game or blow out he will get his yards.

Probably, I see the majority of the top tier RBs being kept. Honestly, I've had Dez as the pick for some time, but I'm looking to be talked out of it. Not because he's bad, but I've kept a WR for the last few years and haven't been there in the end. My lack of RB is typically the reason. But I see Dez as a top 1-3 WR and Forte as maybe a 4-6 back this year. It's hard to look at open minded as a Lions fan and him being a Bear.

So you admittingly see picking a WR as your keeper as something that has hurt you, but you need us to talk you into keeping one of the best fantasy RB's over the last few years. One that just got a coach that will give him more touches and you don't play in a PPR?

Yeah.... might have more to do with your Lion's fandom than Forte...

2RB, 2WR, 1Flex, 1 TE with 12 teams makes reliable RBs impossible to find off the waiver wire.

Any under radar RB thoughts? Seems CJ Anderson might have some potential to go lower than he deserves. Herron worth a late round look. Lamar Miller tends to be underappreciated. Melvin Gordon...

Value traps like Trent Richardson last year? Does Gore fall into that category? Age is an issue and he hasn't caught much out of the backfield for quite a few years. Jeremy Hill losing snaps to Gio Bernard? Demarco Murray....

Yeah, this only highlights the enormous drop of in RB talent. With 8 teams maybe you can get away with dropping one of the few sure fire RBs out there.

Added problem for me, I am pretty sure the guy picking #12,#13 who won last year will be picking two RBs. He almost can't help himself and can't blame him based on winning last year. If I don't take my 2RB at #9, I will surely see a big drop off by the time it comes to my next pick at 16.

If Forte was Charles or Bell it wouldn't be a question, I just don't see him on that tier. And I've actually drafted Forte probably 4 of the last 6 years.

Fair point, Forte tends to drop. It is how I ended up with him. Brown will be one of the first three WRs off the board and produce a shit ton of points. If I keep him and draft the best RBs available at #9 and #16 am I better off?

I do know for certain if I don't have my 2RB by #33 I am fecked. Even at #33 there is probably pretty much crap available at that position.

Geno Smith of New York Jets out 6 to 10 weeks with broken jaw

Welp... Geno just got popped in the mouth by lineback Ik Enemkpali. Broken jaw. Out 6-10 weeks lol. As a Jets fan I honestly think someone paid this dude to hit Geno. lol. Geno is the worst thing to happen to the Jets since they drafted Sanchez.... I'm honestly not mad at all. Bring on Ryan Fitzpatrick.

How does this impact fantasy? I think Fitzpatrick is a better passer and this will actually end up helping Brandon Marshall. He might just be a sneaky flex play with Fitzpatrick at QB.

Can we just "renew" or whatever the league from last year and then plug any holes?
