Yeah as a middle manager I hate it when the people who work for me don’t bend over backwards for the company that systematically underpays them and will lay off them (or me) at the drop of a hat. It’s the worst. They suck.

Ok but if they don’t care about kids, they shouldn’t be teachers. Just like if you don’t care about developing football players (and young men), you shouldn’t be a coach.
Yes a job is a job but we do get to choose what sort of job we do. No one becomes a college or NFL football coach by accident.

As a cynical ass teacher who has seen some shit in both public and higher Ed,… there’s some valid stuff here. I truly think, if I may be true for one moment here,… that I am a good teacher that strives to help even my more problematic students. However, I’m far outnumbered by those who really could not care less as long as they can narcissistically build their own clout in research and publishing or mold minds so that as many as possible think exactly like they do. Text books and tuition costs?,… don’t get me started,… there is definitely a racket component to it all. I do everything I can within my power to make my textbooks free or not have a textbook at all. Sometimes I win that battle,… and sometimes not.

Anyway, never mind me,… this post hit a spot with me,… ACamp is moving on.

Edit: I just looked him up. He had a terrible head coaching record at Kent state.
Interestingly, as a player he played tight end and punt returned (rare combo?).

Most of them the same employees who steal company time, work half ass, and would quit or leave at the drip of a hat. It all cuts both ways. Im sorry you’re a middle manager.

There are also millions of small businesses in this country that dont operate under this corporate umbrella who take good of employees, but they are all fighting over the same shit pool of employees.
