Depending on how the portal window shakes out, it looks like we could be down a few WRs.

I thought it'd be fun to make a list of potential formations we could run post-portal. In case GP is perusing the net looking for some ideas I'd like to add them here for an easy review.

Per Wikipedia we should be able to run:

  • T-formation
  • I-formation (Maryland and Power I only)
  • Single Wing
  • Double Wing
  • Short Punt (exciting!)
  • Wishbone
  • Wing-T
  • Goalline
  • Victory

Please feel free to click the link and add any exciting new ideas for the revamped offensive identify of our beloved Fighting Irish!

Personally, I can't imagine a bigger mindfuck as a defender than running onto the field for the opening drive and the offense opens in Victory.

This is looking bad. Every team has transfers, but man one position like this is killer. Especially, if admin do not make accommodations for transfers

We’ll know pretty quickly when we hire Ken Niumatololo and Paul Johnson as analysts…

Remember that great south carolina team we played in the bowl game that everyone said buchner is amazing since he beat them.

Well, they had Dlinemen (multiple dlinemen running routes).

JJB would be the best candidate, but I'm good with setting a short screen or two for Rylie to get 5 yards and absolutely truck someone.

EJ Smith looked good at receiver. I know he’s a RB but ND can’t be picky now

When Bill Walsh had mo receivers during the 1987 strike, he ran the wishbone.

I've been saying it since summer of 2022. Roster is built for Wing T. Buchner would've crushed it in that offense. As would Riley Leonard.
