I won’t pretend to know much, but this career path concerns me with Funk. Though I 100% expect he will be on whatever list.

- 2020 - : BYU — Offensive Line Coach
- 2018-2019: UTSA — Offensive Line Coach
- 2017: Indiana State — Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach
- 2016: Purdue — Offensive Line Coach
- 2015: Akron — Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach
- 2011-14: Michigan — Offensive Line Coach
- 2009-10: San Diego State — Offensive Line Coach
- 2008: Ball State — Offensive Line Coach
- 2004-07: Colorado State — Offensive Line Coach

While experienced, he seems to kinda run a cycle of gets bumped up level, starts from scratch, gets bumped up, starts from scratch. Why is he not staying at the P5 level?

Also just followed Grimes and Mateos the Baylor guys so I’m sure some/all their recruits and possibly even players due to COVID Year/Mission.
Looks like he has an uncanny knack for working for head coaches who either retire or get canned. First job is pretty low end, then he does a pretty good job of moving up. So he’s an ok veteran which is probably a good result considering. Damn sure better than Watt

The Loy has put out his offensive line coach list. There's like 13 dudes on it including the BYU OL coach and Chris Watt.

So they’re hiring Watt.

That’s the beauty of this thread, in comparison to the OC one:

We 100% know it will be Watt now, so all the fun in speculating and believing ND is capable of doing anything other than the bare minimum that the OC thread had is gone.

At this point the only productive thread would be one about “who should be the next AD?”

I can't remember a time when the ND beat was so lacking inside sources like this. I think with Rees leaving, it'll only get even worse.

Might be time to hire someone off the Cincinnati beat in hopes that they might have some connections.
