I’ll take Pollack over Desmond on GameDay any day.
I really liked Pollack, he was a UGA bulldog but I never got the vibe that he wore that persona on his sleeve like the others on the show. And he was one of the few pundits who believed ND had a chance to make a run last year and they made a smart man out of him.

I remember his co-host on his podcast laughing it off "it's ND in January, when have they ever won those types of games in our lifetime?"

What was said?
My impressions

1. They were the first to point out that Minchey had a better spring. Others eventually said the same.

2. Kind of mocked others that seemed to orgasm over some of Carr’s throws that he was able to make but overlooking the bad throws. In some ways drew similarities of people salivating over what Buchner would do in practice but overlooking the bad.

3. That they were the first ones to point out that Minchey could really win the QB competition. Others followed.

And they are 100% right. Irish Illustrated has botched it, pretty badly, going back to summer

I think On3 now has the best rankings in the industry now but it is funny they started out very clearly going for shock effect (sometimes still do)

That 2022 class is historically bad unless Ty Simpson makes it at least a good enough top end (Allar and Klubnik)

Wasn’t Devin Brown just some dude until WAY late in the cycle? I remember having no idea who he was until OSU got on him.

Or maybe that was Lincoln Kienholz. Also, remember Air Nolan?

Brown blew up his senior year. Played at same HS at Dart. Lincoln rose but not as crazy as Brown

Keawe Sagapolutele was the same. He had middling G5 offers then went to the Elite11 and blew up and Oregon got him and he ended up a 5 star

Frank takes it to the rim and slams it down over the outstretched arms of Driskel! Uyeyama with the assist on the play.
I'm sure Driskel is ranting about how Carr is the better QB in every possible way, but Kenny is the safer option on his board as we speak. Thank God he was at every practice and had the opportunity to chart each QB's throws.

My GOAT would never decide something months in advance, double down on his stance when reality set in and then make a long post where all the replies are glazing him and how his opinion is the only one that matters on the ND beat.

Kienholz blew up pretty late. He's from my hometown and I remember he had like NDSU, Wyoming, Minnesota and Washington in his top 5 the summer entering his senior year. He committed to Washington due to DeBoer being from South Dakota and then flipped to Ohio State pretty late.
