I feel like I am stating the obvious, but can’t we just admit that this kid is not a fit at ND? Not the right temperament, not the right game, not the right priorities. I wish him all the best, he seems like a decent — albeit very impressionable — kid who has a lot of maturing to do. You can get away with that in the SEC culture, but he would get eaten alive at ND. At this point, I think he should go to Auburn. Call a spade a spade.

Maybe he is not a fit at ND but he definitely doesn't fit in the SEC and definitely not at Auburn. I see Vince more as a talking head for Ball State or BGSU, I just can't see the guy being a fit in SEC country

You want to compete with the Ohio State/Georgia/Alabamas of the world, but don't want to recruit the same kids as they do. You see where I'm going here?

Ha! My bad. I appreciate the humor in pointing it out.

can someone please explain to me why this will be the 4th season in a row and the 5th in 6 years where ND opens the season on the road (since 2019 ND has started the season at home only once in 2020 vs duke).

Probably a step up from the Athletic which appears to be circling the drain
Yeah The Athletic is going downhill fast but I hope it sticks around. I won my fantasy football league two years in a row because of Jake Ciely's model. It's literally the only reason I subscribe.

However, I probably lost all those earnings and more betting on games using Austin Mock's model. Do not recommend :ROFLMAO:

Listened to the II podcast finally.

Did everyone hear the dig O’Malley made at Driskell?
They are friends too, so that’s funny.

O’Malley was talking about the 2020 season when BK made it clear they were a 12 personnel, OL driven team, at the presser. And ND obviously had Book coming back, an elite OL, great TE & running game, a great defense.
And O’Malley said that upset “another ND site reporter” who wanted to go 5 wide and “air it out to Jordan Johnson & his elite speed from Phil Jurkovec throwing deep balls…”
LOL

O’Malley is sooooo right.
All Driskell & Vince talked about is how they could find a way to get Johnson in the field & get him the ball. And how much better Jurkovec is than Book. And how he should be QB in a spread out offense in 2020.
Of course ND went to the CFP & Jurkovec became a 4th string TE at Pitt & emotional blogger.
Who knew BK knew more about football than Driskell & Vince?

I do remember hearing that, but didn’t know it was about Driskell.

I also listened to the A&M portion. I don’t think it was as negative as people on here portrayed it to be. They gave reasons why A&M is favored. I think ND will win, but it’ll be close. I took the under.

Their opinion and thoughts were rational. And i still think we win

A & M being favored is mostly due to the high regard people have for Elko and thinking he'll out coach Freeman. We certainly have a better roster and the line reflects an even game plus the home field factor. Elko may in fact be the better coach but it won't be easy to put all the pieces together in time for game one.

Elko has announced he thinks his front 7 is the best in the country. I know he’s not going to say otherwise b/c it’s his guys.

Ok. I think our front seven is the best in the country. And our back four don't suck either. Whaddaya say to that, Elko?

How do you think that when our lbs haven’t played too much….

Can they be the best, possibly, but we haven’t seen Bowen sneed ausberry or kva so much if anything in a game

Listening to Singer podcast because there’s nothing else available for this run.

1. Had to go 1.25 speed because he talks so slow.
2. 18 minutes in and he has yet to say anything of substance.

You didn’t hear this from me…
His coworkers can’t stand him but are locked into do not compete contracts they have to fulfill. Notice after so many years all the other BGI guys leave, but him?
Expect more to go when their non-compete clauses are up too.
Nobody there likes him.

Driskell hinted at the next option at Qb if Knight leaves today. Didn’t say who but was uncertain if he was top 100. After checking said he wasn’t.

Why does BGI keep him?
Because BGI isn’t BGI anymore. That portion isn’t owned by Stu Coman anymore. It’s owned by Shannon Terry. He is the one who started the other sites, sold them, then started new sites.
He only cares about the profit, not the quality.
He buys up struggling sites & puts them on On3. He hit the jackpot with Coman because Stu was looking to get out of the online stuff & owned 7-8 sites, especially two huge ones with ND & Michigan. So Shannon bought them all from Stu.
The model is to get young dudes, fans of the team, or lazy dudes who don’t care, all three of which will take next to nothing, to work on the site. They make in the 40’s at first, then work their way up to the 50s after a few contracts. The younger guys have to sign a non-compete for the first couple years because the good/smart ones realize it’s trash & what to bounce.
Then the horrible ones like Singer get put in charge & sign extensions because they aren’t going anywhere & 50k a year for doing nothing is the peak of the mountain for him.
And Shannon Terry doesn’t give two shits about it. There have been hundreds of complaints about Singer to On3. They don’t care. Cheap labor.
And Singer runs off all the good help & since he won’t leave, is the boss by default. And the others hate him.

Hahahahahahahaha…..Coach D, FUNNY!!!

I know Singer personally.
I know two current employees there.
I know a handful of former employees there.

And I had the honor of knowing Lou Somogyi personally. And Lou was the nicest human being ever. And Lou didn’t like the way things were going at BGI the year he worked with Singer. Lou tragically passing is probably what kept Singer there.

ND7983: You need to bounce Vince. He's about a jackwagon, parrots what you say, lacks original thought, and offers little to no insight. Ryan was your foundation-too bad he left.
