Assuming everyone stays relatively healthy throughout the year, excluding Ohio State, USC, and Clemson, I think Notre Dame has to run the table this year. There is no excuse not to. You've got your quarterback, an elite offensive line, a top 10 running back, and capable wide receivers. Your defense has some question marks littered throughout, and it needs to improve (particularly in the redzone). But, it wasn't necessarily a "bad" defense - especially given last year's offensive/Pyne's impediments. There is no excuse for losing any other games in my opinion. I'll admit that NC State, Pitt, and Duke won't roll over and lay down, but frankly, Notre Dame should be putting those caliber teams well out of commission by late 3rd quarter.
That leaves the remaining three. Luckily, 2/3 are at home. Going 0-fer would be disappointing. Winning 1 or 2 would be great. Winning all 3 would be ecstatic. However, that USC game may just be a bad matchup. I think Notre Dame will need to catch some breaks/turnovers on that one. I'm more optimistic on Ohio State given the timing of the game coupled with them breaking in a new quarterback on the road. They'll have played hardly anyone with a pulse, and Notre Dame (hopefully) will have a solid road win in NC State under its belt. Also, luckily, unlike previous seasons, I expect that ND may be in a position to "outscore" teams should they get in a shootout.
