FWIW, I really enjoyed Driskell's breakdown of the OSU formations and our sets. I was surprised he was tough on Rees. Good for him not being a typical boot-licker.
2021 Cincy $1 million
2022 Marshall $1.25 million
0-2 and lost $2.25 million
JC was ok, JG was just bad IMO.I didn't watch the Marshall game last week (saved by a wedding it seems).
How were the Jac Collinsworth and Jason Garrett duo as broadcasters? I don't think I've read a single thing about them good or bad this week.
I struggled with it. I didn't find either to be particularly good.I didn't watch the Marshall game last week (saved by a wedding it seems).

I thought they sounded like they were the local guys covering a high school game on the radio,.... I thought it was legit terrible.I didn't watch the Marshall game last week (saved by a wedding it seems).

If the team didn't look like shit, this is most likely what we would be complaining about this week. I thought JC was low energy and JG had no idea how he got there. The whole NBC broadcast felt very low energy and bland.
But, then again, so did the product on the field.
I think I was just too pissed off about the product on the field to notice much about the broadcast. I feel like I blacked out from 2:30 until about 5:30 on Saturday.I didn't watch the Marshall game last week (saved by a wedding it seems).

Agreed - ND on NBC owes its viewers better than that. The vibe of the games is awful. And it's not just the product on the field, I greatly dislike the pairing.
I’ve always felt this way with our NBC broadcasts. I like the extra segments on our team, and at times I’ve liked the play-by-play, but never the overall product. The whole NBC broadcast felt very low energy and bland.
But, then again, so did the product on the field.
I have felt like this forever. There is something about the NBC broadcast that feels subdued. CBS and Fox both seem to do a better job of capturing the atmosphere in the stadium and on the field. The vibe of the games is awful. And it's not just the product on the field, I greatly dislike the pairing.
Basic mediocre white guy?Jac was fine. Not Tirico obviously. Garrett I found similar to Brees really. His voice is naturally more monotone but he’s knowledgeable. Not really captivating, but neither was Brees. His voice/personality is just not made for this profession so don’t really get it.
By voice I thought I was listening to Tony Dungy most of the time that Garrett was speaking.Jac was fine. Not Tirico obviously. Garrett I found similar to Brees really. Saban referencing ND losing to Marshall and he ain't wrong
Its kind of like a John Wooden approach but just a little more assholic in the delivery. Saban is a lot or like Kelly than Freeman in handling the Press.Any coach would be smart to approach the game more like Nick Saban does.
Step on everyone's balls and believe in it. Leave no doubt.Any coach would be smart to approach the game more like Nick Saban does.
can't stand Len Clark's voice on II also or hearing about frickin Esquire clothing on ISDA consistent thought I had when listening to the ND podcasts is the staleness in the ad's that each one has.
IB - BD saying "aromatically pleasing" is cringe af
On3 - Mike Singer announcing that augies as new sponsorship for the 10th straight month irks me slightly more each time I hear it.
II - The Mike Brown childrens book spot sounds like some first year communications major's first draft.
Rivals - Eric Hansen talking about socks for 2 min, see "IB" above.
And John Kennedy’s voice???can't stand Len Clark's voice on II also or hearing about frickin Esquire clothing on ISD
I have to fast forward through 15 minutes of ads on The Shamrock. I pay for The Athletic - I should stop being lazy and just listen to their ad-free version.A consistent thought I had when listening to the ND podcasts is the staleness in the ad's that each one has.
