Anybody know much about this guy. Is he a good addition? Where was he previously? Etc. I could do a google search but I'd rather get the boards opinion. A little more fun that way, lol.

He's currently the in stadium host for the White Sox, has also worked with the Bulls and Blackhawks as well as at Northwestern and DePaul.

Man, huge shoes to fill. Mike Collins has been around a long time.

Best of luck to Chris Ackels, look forward to hearing him this fall!

Listening to the latest Irish Breakdown mailbag. It is very apparent Driskall did not get vaccinated and won't be attending practice

Anyone ever check out UHND.com? I’ve frequented their site over the years whilst searching for anything ND football related during the dog days of football. They have some podcasts if you have a little time to kill.

I think the Inside the Garage thing will shift the landscape of Notre Dame coverage.

These kids were good
they know what they are talking about
they are Domers
soon to be alums
worldly, emotionally mature

and they are unhinged, in a good way. .

Irish Breakdown and One Foot Down may soon be down the tubes. both are run by FAT nonalums who are needy psychologically, have ADD

and don't know 1/10th of what Hamilton, Hart, Ratigan and Wallace know.

Hamilton and Hart may someday be candidates for the NFL Players Union president.

And soon, there will be a financial shift.

Would I rather pay money to Hamilton, Hart, Ratigan and Wallace

or nonalums, each with emotional and psychic baggage like bryant Driscoll, Josh Vowles and Mike Frank?

That's a no-brainer.

Bring Ueyama and Freeman on to this site and with them, Bobby Mac, Lucci, Cackalacky and Clashmore Mike I'll gladly pay $19.95 a month.

But note this INSIDE the GARAGE thing..
Why shoujld playes give inte4rvie3ws to lunkheads like Frank, Dricoll and Vowles when they can be capitalists and make money from their own thoughts?

The Day of the Locust, the day of the parasite, will soon be over.

Mike Frank (Irish Sports Daily)'s latest Power Hour Podcast almost went off the rails last Monday.
(Paraphrasing) "They're basically going totalitarian... We're not going to just sit and take it...We've done things the right way and we have a right to make a living..."
He, Jamie, and Matt Freeman went on a tag-team rampage. And honestly, I get it, their jobs are literally on the line and with ND going back to 100 percent it's inexcusable to say that it's a health concern.
Boo hooi Mike.. Life is tough. Play hard. Don't like it? Pack your stuff and move back to Nebraska..

I thought Mike already did that. But he just really can't exist if he isn't complaining, so clearly that move didn't help his outlook.

lol he won't be going to games either then. Dude's been a MAGA guy for ages so it makes sense he would take an anti vax stance

Feeling old this morning. I guess I've seen the same pic of Freeman for too long. I feel like I just aged 25 years.

Just getting caught up on a lot of Irish info today since about the 5th...Anyone see that HLS is stopping their podcast after the season? I've enjoyed listening to them, and it'll be one I miss every week.

So Mike Farrell doesn't believe Notre Dame can win 10 games with Jack Coan.

So Mike Farrell doesn't believe Notre Dame can win 10 games with Jack Coan.

There seems to be a lot of that going around. I've seen plenty of pundits reacting to the polls and just about everyone is selecting ND as the team most likely to fall based on the initial rankings. David Pollack said the same on SportsCenter last week, too.

They're all using the same lazy reason, sighting our returning production, or lack thereof. Never mind the fact that we've consistently reloaded up front, arguably have a better WR unit (considering the guys who are on top of the depth chart this fall were the same guys as last year prior to injuries and/or disciplinary reasons), and landed two key transfers in Coan and Madden.

I personally love it; give the boys a chip on their shoulder. I love this coaching staff and think we have a chance to be very, very good this year.

"Notre Dame lost production, they can't win games"

*Looks at production return charts, and OSU is worse off than ND*

"OSU has so much talent, they should roll to the B1G Championship again.

Each year is a microcosm and we have no idea how this ND team will play until they are in the games. I love the pieces we have but we need to see if the OL can protect and if Coan can make good decisions when he's asked to throw 30-35/game. That will happen because teams will necessarily stack the box. Can't wait to see what we have and cheer on our men!

This could be a special kinda year, even without a playoff appearance. Regardless, the games should be more fun than 2020 (minus a certain victory in November)

I’m expecting the defense to be “at least” as effective as in 2020 and the offense to be better and more balanced than in 2020. It would not surprise me one bit if they exceed expectations.

The OL scares me personally, but the defense will be special. Maybe a 2019 type of year.

The D will need a consistent pass rush threat. According to reports from media during limited practice, none have impressed yet.

Listened to Bryan Driskell's podcast today. [duck/cover]
I really don't want to go back through all of the pages of this thread, but does he have some sort of issue with the Styles family? The entire first half of the podcast was part reaction to the Adon Shuler commitment, and a bigger part devoted to 2023 safety/DB recruiting. He must have listed the top ND targets at safety no fewer than a dozen times, with not a single mention of Sonny Styles. At points it sounded like he had a ranking list straight from rivals or 247 and he was just reading names off, but for some reason never would say Sonny Styles.

I listen to his stuff mostly because he puts out more podcasts and videos than anyone else, but I can certainly hear why people don't like him.

Sonny will be a Rover so that omission actually does make sense this time
