Y’all know Joe Tess wasn’t wanting to shove the Milton stuff. Any play by play ESPN could have sent out would have been handed a giant sheet of Milton stuff to push

Mark Packer is just such a fan of the game and I'm here for it. You can tell he loves what he does everyday, it fires me up. And you nailed it, he has an uncanny way of not showing any bias at all, despite the fact that he does coverage for the ACC network and lives in Charlotte.

Agree wholeheartedly on McIlory. At the beginning of the broadcast, he did appear to tip his cap to BK and his efforts the past 5 years and said he expects a reload more than a rebuild. It appears to me that he changed his tune a bit over the past few years when he would have sort of an arrogant "let's calm down, it's ND, they can't hang" air about him when we played a bigger opponent.

Don’t forget Packer is a Clemson alum & both daughters went/attend Clemson. You’d never know by his straight shooting. Love that guy.

Maybe I missed it but I never heard McElroy or Tess mention that ND lost 4 OL from last season to the NFL or that ND was without Bothelo, Diggs & Flemister. To me, that’s key background info that is relevant. I didn’t find out ND was missing the aforementioned three until I saw it posted on Twitter.

I don't think they did mention it. I saw the same tweet, but don't recall hearing it on the broadcast. Especially in the fourth quarter when we were gassed up front and went to three lineman (smaller rotation), great opportunity to bring up Jordan Bothelo being unavailable for the game.

Yeah I like that show in the morning, they do a nice job. I also love Mark Packer in the evenings on the drive home. I'm pretty much dialed in to ESPNU radio from July - January.

On the second bold, I'm not aware of Herbie being a Bama homer? I think Herbie or any other analyst are just blown away by the ability Saban has to lose as much talent, year after year, to the NFL yet they just reload and never skip a beat. Bama is probably going to go down as the best dynasty in the history of College Football, maybe even sports. I just look at it as him doing his job and making the same predictions anyone else does; Bama has been the best for over a decade, and will likely continue to do so as long as Saban is running that program.

I meant he isn't as bad of a Bama homer as Herbie has become a OSU homer, my bad on that.

No worries! That's interesting because I always thought Herbie does a nice job of masking the fact that he is a Buckeye alum, I never thought he was too biased towards them. However, I'm a big fan of Kirk so maybe I'm just watching him through rose-colored glasses lol.

when my 12 year old says that the announcers sound like they want to have a baby with milton, gushing so hard about him and his story...it's got to be pretty bad

I thought they lowered the energy once Milton came in. The broadcast sounded solemn and somber, like we were watching a state funeral.

lol Herbie literally left the state of Ohio with his wife and kids to avoid OSU fans who would accost him daily in the streets for being "Anti-OSU"

That was when he had his radio show & said that Tressel should be punished & OSU on probation. He moved to Nashville because OSU fans were threatening his family.
The worse story I’ve ever heard was when Chris Speilman was critical like Herbstreit & OSU fans were harassing him & saying they were glad his wife died from cancer & they hope his daughters do too. Horrible.

When you look at the AP Poll Tracker, I can’t fathom how some of these mouthbreathers have a vote?

Some of these guys ALWAYS vote ND way low, every year, so it’s obvious they are anti-ND.
Don Williams from Lubbock voted ND 16th & Iowa State 8th. So he thinks beating a FCS team at home by 6 is a lot more impressive than winning at FSU…

I agree completely here. Again, I don't see anytime that Herbie compliments OSU that he is a "homer." They've won the B1G 4 straight years and 5 out of the last 7; they've made the playoffs 4 times in the 7 year history of the format, and won a natty and played for another last year. They are a perennial top 10 lock. We all hate OSU, but when you're that good, you're going to get praise heaped on you come prediction time week in and week out, year in and year out.

It's not being a homer, it's called being an analyst and doing your job competently.

Desmond Howard, on the other hand, is a homer. When you blindly select your alma mater to win football games week in and week out, ignoring the fact that they are just not that good, that's an issue.

The typical OSU fan is the very definition of a dirtbag jock sniffing tool.

Somebody needs to put that asshole in check. STFU, we don't need to hear about your "inside sources" you fuckin traitorous bitch. Shit is nuanced and difficult when you're dealing with injuries and players who are continually showcasing whether or not they can handle various elements of the game. This asshole is willing to sell out the staff and team to get clicks and follows, fucking Benedict Arnold.

Okay, I’ve been out of the loop for a couple days.
Who is saying what? I know Mason, and I see someone attached his name to a tweet? Did Mason say something or did someone else say something? What’s happening?

I thought Dee Brees had an impressive debut performance as the analyst in today’s game. Looking forward to hearing more from him the rest of the season, although it’s probably gonna be tough for me him to be biased next week with his Alma mater coming to town.

From Eric Hanson

Notre Dame’s most alarming team rankings nationally: 125th in sacks allowed (out of 130), 111th in scoring defense, 109th in rushing offense, 104th in rushing defense, 90th in third-down defense.

if ND doesn't solve their OL issue and defensive issues then ND is going to struggle to be a 6-6 football team this year. with NDs current issues ND could very easily lose their next 6 games and if that happens then get ready to see their recruiting class just fall apart. other than maybe navy I don't see a gimmie on NDs schedule for the rest of the season.
