Just another example of why he is pure Michigan. He fits perfectly. A bunch of assholes who blame everyone and everything else because it's unfathomable that perhaps they are the problem, or at least they are contributing to it. It's all the kids fault they are trying to monetize the recruiting process. I personally have never come across an adult who is trying to monetize the recruiting process. It's an Instagram centric view. But on3 is clearly okay to try and get clicks because it's adults. Pure Michigan Man, it's not his fault and he is the victim.

Wasn't Vince on either B&G or ISD after Driskell left? Blame those guys for introducing the world to "Football Analyst" Vince.

I recently put Roberts on my ND football twitter list. Prob comin right back off, since this is the kind of shit you get from him:

Thanks man. If I wanted a Live Laugh Love sign I'd go to Home Goods.

Fear not. Everything you ever wanted is sitting on the other side of fear.

I'll step in here on Team Ryan.

He puts out a lot of accessible content. I'll nevuh be and IB member so I'm thankful for those nuggets.

If you don’t like IB, then don’t but Athlon preseason magazine, because guess who did the ND preview?

Ryan Roberts is good minus the high school teenage girl tweets. I can ignore those for the good content

I haven't read a pre-season ND paperbound in 15 years. And don't we all know everything that goes to print 3 months ahead of time anyways?

The entirety of this website is more familiar with ND's roster than Phil Steele has ever been.

The Athletic is owned by the New York Times. They may not be rolling in cash like the early days, but they’re relatively stable. And they employ SO MANY journalists. I suspect they’ll employ one to cover Notre Dame football for a long time to come.
Maybe I've been living under a rock, but I didn't realize till today that The Athletic is owned by the NY Times. Someone posted a Sampson article in the Bettis thread and instead of it being tagged as being from The Athletic, it instead references the NY Times.

Athletic has been shrinking/laying off or not replacing writers for a while now, i wouldn't say they are super stable

Agree The Athletic is not what it was. Which is too bad because it was pretty great and now is just OK.

But the New York Times cut its entire sports department and replaced it with Athletic content. The Athletic isn’t going anywhere.

And as long as The Athletic exists and covers college football, it will employ someone to cover Notre Dame. Was my point.

This doesn't pertain to this year's team, but O'Malley and Sampson said something interesting on today's II podcast. They are convinced that ND will bring in one of the best (if not the best) DT's that hit the portal in December. O'Malley talked about how they brought in Oben, who was one of (if not the best) DE's in the portal this year, and that ND will bring in the Oben/JJB equivalent at DT next year. That makes me think that they know for a fact that ND is committed to going even further than they went this offseason with NIL/transfer portal.

When you don't need to put aside whatever it takes to get a QB, those funds can go elsewhere.

Inside the college football NIL market: How much players at each position are actually getting paid

Average cost for a power four QB transfer was somewhere between 500-800k, but we know ND paid more for Hartman and Leonard.

It makes sense. ND has proven that they're gonna hit their major needs hard, and probably successfully, when they go after an NIL/transfer prospect.

Next offseason's biggest need for an instant contributor will be DT, as you're losing two long-time contributors in Cross and Mills.

NIL means you don't have to go into 2025 hoping one of the youngsters with limited snaps is ready to be The Man. You can bring a guy that's already done it, and ease the other guys in.
