What a game. What a season.

Pro Tip: When you play the game like Rugby, it makes it really, really tough on officials to get every call. They missed a call at the end of the game, and MSU should have had 2 shots. Wait, I mean during a normal basketball game, they missed a call.

When you play that physical, you live with the position you put the officials in.

I thought so too. But on the replay you see Mabrey get ball first, then they tangle. It’s tough to call that one, especially at the end of a game regardless how it’s been called.

Seriously?

If you think they swallowed the whistle for that one call, you are nuts. There were a lot of times they could have called a lot and not just on ND. The MissSt center not only hacked, she hacked back and over the back and elbows way more than the 5 fouls called.

Not what I said.

I said when you play that type of style, it's tough to get a consistent whistle from the officials. I've seen tons of comments on other boards talking about how it was a missed call. It, technically, was probably a foul. But, given the context of how the officials had to officiate this game because of MSU's style, it wasn't called. For MSU, you don't get to try to play physical, and then complain when a physical play isn't called.

No, they didn't swallow their whistles. I think they called it within the confines of how the game was played, or tried to at the end of the National Championship game.
