Got a grad transfer from Yale Paul Atkinson. Big pickup for us. Immediate impact guy
17.6 PPG. 7.3REb a game. Last year shot 63% clip from floor. Big big pickup

So Wertz, Laz and Atkinson gives us a nice core for next year - Hubb and Goodwin in supporting rolls as 4th/5th options is much more encouraging to me. I like Carmody contributing on a high level if he can stay healthy too. Then plenty of time for Zona, Wesley, JR, Taylor and Sanders to develop with 7th/8th man minutes (which can add up to zero in Brey's world so we aren't out much if none are ready for prime time). That kind of has me excited on paper.

Nice pick up for the Irish with Atkinson, I think he can make a difference next year.

Riley and Blake Wesley pull of the upset to earn the title of sectional champs.

JR and St. Joe also take care of business against Glenn to take the crown as well.

Good luck in the regionals fellas

Once again both Blake and JR led their respective teams to wins in the regional semifinals this morning. They’re playing right now for the regional championship. Quite honestly it would be upsets for both teams to win tonight. The journey likely ends for both.

Riley led by Blake Wesley fall tonight to Gary West 58-43. Now he turns his attention to graduating and coming to the Irish.

JR and the St Joe Indians pull off the stunning upset and take down #1 ranked Hammond 79-71 in OT. They’re headed to the Final Four!

Would there be any interest in a recruiting section for basketball similar to what we have for football? Might not be much action if it follows the current state of hoops recruiting but I'd look into getting it started.

I’d like it. I agree though, there may not be much traffic but I believe ND basketball will be headed into a new era starting in 2022 so it might be worth to add it
to the to-do list.

That would be a nice addition.

Ok guys, I'll work on it sometime in the coming days. Any suggestions on set up or should I just basically copy the football recruiting format?

Impressive Brey was able to beat out Drake and SIU for this kid
He’s completely blown up this summer. I’ve seen him play a handful of times. Not the biggest, but he can play. He’s got some Nic Moore to his game.

The other “local” kid we need to be on is Flory Bidunga.

2024 recruit Sir Mohammed is a 6’6″ wing player in North Carolina. He’s the son of former Kentucky and 18-year NBA player Nazr Mohammed. We offered back in October. Ranked #74 on 247.

Bad news is we weren't on his latest top 6 list. Good news is that evidently Penn State was thought to be leading for him prior to Shrewsberry leaving.
