Pretty darn good! I've never watched a Notre Dame season pump up vid with a motivational speech in the background, but I thought it worked. His speech definitely related to what happened last year and where the team is at currently.

Who said, "it wasn't 1960?"

Finnebaum was talking about ND "just a few years ago playing for the National Championship), that was 2012 not 1962.

There was a couple of seconds about ND not having the caliber of coaches today that they had in the glory days of the 20's, 40's, and 60's . Have you seen a ND head coach like Rockne, Leahy, or Parshegian in the past 20 years leading the team? I recall Davie, Willingham, Weis, and Kelly.

Actually, there was an unreferenced connection between 2016 and the 60's in that video. In the video they showed ND's '16 lost to Duke 38-35. In 1961 ND was routed by Duke 37-13. Three years later Ara was head coach.

In the first 4 year of the 60's ND was 14-25. It was wake call for the ND Administration (Father Hesburgh who hired Ara was the guy that terminated Leahy, and promoted a freshman coach to HC.)

You complain about mention of the '60's in an ND motivational video. ND football rose from the ashes in the 60's. I'd like to see it again.
