If OSU sack Ryan Day we should throw a few bucks at him to the OC.
He would go to Bama or the NFL though. But he would be perfect for ND.

Looks like Del is gone

At least something good came out of today. I can’t stress enough that a replacement-level WR coach could do a better job recruiting, developing and managing a WR room than Del. They could type “WR coach” into Google, hit “I’m feeling lucky” and hire the first name that comes up and it would upgrade the position.

Loy just gave an update that said pretty much what we’ve all known. Del and Quinn likely gone. Harry most likely Quinn’s replacement. Only new piece is Taylor may slide to WR, but he’s torn since he loves the RBs. Freeman will either need to find a new WR coach or RB coach. Mason from Cincy will probably become ST coach.

I'm okay with Taylor moving to WR. That position group is struggling as a whole, it needs a steady hand. I'd rather have 3 solid WRs on the field and take our chances with a new coach for the starting RB. I hope they're not yanking our chain about Harry either, because that's been super exciting.

Not a huge fan of Taylor as a recruiter, but I’ll give anyone who isn’t Del a shot. But I’d prefer he stay at RB.

RBs are solid with Taylor, so why mess with something that has been working? Has Taylor put any guys into the NFL at wr?

Taylor was the WR coach for the Panthers after Stanford and assistant WR coach with them before Stanford. He'll be fine.

What is bad about that recruiting??? Do you forget about Autry Denson? He might not be Tony Alford but he's been pretty damn good at stocking the RB room with talent.

I don't think we can credit Taylor with Tyree's commitment, but we certainly can with the rest as well as their respective developments (incl Tyree). Not sure how anyone could sour on what Taylor's done.

Lol, either it’s new (again) and a very straightforward indicator OR he only had a Twitter to begin with because he was forced to for recruiting purposes and once he left ND he said screw it, don’t need to worry about Twitter anymore!

My opinion doesn't matter of course but Taylor has done well with the RB's. I'd rather we go out and find a new coach for wideouts.

Taylor could be lobbying for the WR job. This is just a thought, no proof or anything to back it up. He may see it as an opportunity for himself to help expand his resume. If he has goals and aspirations are above being a college position coach, adding another stint as WR coach onto his resume may help him get an OC job somewhere else down the line.

Again, I'm just throwing this out there. But it's certainly not far fetched to at least consider.

The profile was set up in 2013 with a picture of him while he was at Notre Dame wearing Adidas. This is nothing new.
Also noticed he never tweeted once and he still follows BK.

Did anyone else notice Taylor seeming to coach (or at least in a hundle talking to) the WRs in the bowl game?

He talks to much of the offense on field during games since Rees is in the booth

okay was not aware of that. I was going to say maybe he should have had his mind on the ground game more.
