I think subconsciously you like TL because he's the illegitimate son of Fabio Lanzoni.

My family hails from Luxembourg, Germany, and Ireland. Fuck Italy/Fabio. No way TL is Catholic either so he can go kick rocks for all I care, doesn't change this bish kicks ass at football lmao.

SEC...SEC...SEC

lol.

I dont know the stats yet...but the Bama beating appeared worse than NDs. No matter...ND lost. Not much of a cosolation... but it is funny watching SEC fan boys scramble for excuses for the second time in just a few days...

I'm German/Irish/Italian. German last name, and grew up in an Italian hood. Don't hate on the wops.

The Lawrence fam goes to Tabernacle Baptist Church (Cartersville, GA) I believe. His family hails from Johnson City, TN (My UT buddy knows his fam).

Not our night. Clemson was better prepared, had a better game plan, and executed much better. Locksley had no answers for Venables and his play calling was garbage at times. Our O-line consistently got beaten and Tua was off all night. Our D-line did OK most of the time, but our LB's and DB's looked lost much of the game. We just thoroughly got outcoached and outplayed. Saban will use this as a lesson and we'll be back next year.

Maybe 'bama should look into lowering their academic standards so they have a chance to compete with the clempsons of the world.

My bro in law's fam is pretty Italian from Strong Island. Nice folks but also trash. Only redeeming quality is that they root for the Irish due to the other half of their fam.

Baptist? Figures. After how those clowns treated the Catholic kids in my school growing up.....

Hard for Tua to be on when Clemson owned the LOS.

Half the time Clemson made big plays, they had a dude make a stupid catch after this freshman made a stupid throw. That shit was wild.

Our OL did a poor job of protecting him, but Tua also misread a lot of coverages (hats off to Venables), failed to find several open receivers, and made some poor throws. He just seemed "off" almost the entire night. I understand his bad game against UGA, as he couldn't push off with his injured ankle when passing, but tonight was different. He didn't appear to be injured. He just seemed out of sorts like someone who hadn't practiced in two weeks.

Clemson's receivers made some ridiculous catches. Ross is a stud, especially for a freshman. TL can flat out throw and the moment never seemed too big for him. Hats off to Dabo and his team.

Either of 'em would kill us both within a week. A man's gotta know his limitations.

choosing to die happy should not be confused with not knowing one's limitation...
plus, my heart is in great shape, and i'm a skilled driver lol. i'd give it hell for longer than a week. 10 days at least.

Who am I kidding? I'd go out like a boss with either and die with a smile on my face you couldn't chisel off with a jackhammer.

Funny to go back and read page one of this thread. Lots of banging on ND's lack of being prepared for this Clemson team and how much better prepared Alabama was. And then...

Also interesting that probably 50% of their players can't read at a high school junior level.

I decided I like Trevor Lawrence though. Seems like a decent guy considering he's God's gift to the quarterback position.

Seriously. He's literally the embodiment of Sunshine from "Remember the Titans."

He has every reason to be a big-headed doofus, but he seems like a pretty chill dude and a good competitor.

Him running through Bama defenders in the last five minutes of the game was his "let the DT come free" moment.

The only difference... he didn't need Rev to show him the veer.

I can't stand either team. Hate is a great word. My most hated teams are 1) USC, 2) scUM, 3) Miami, 4) FSU... Miami and FSU used to be 1 and 2...

OSU, Bama, UGA, FL, are also in my top 10. There's not a FL P5 team I don't cringe at though lol..

I'm actually a bit sad at the whole Richt situation. While I hated UGA, it was hard not to like Richt. He's such a great dude. I had hoped he'd do well at Miami (just not enough to beat ND), but always found it a weird destination for him based on his personality, and the U's history....

A strong ACC is good for us. It's more challenging for us on the field, but good for SoS, and even better for our recruiting. We'll end up in the ACC at some point in the next 10 years I'd bet, so I hope they aren't a top heavy league with Clemson the only 1st class team.

I don’t hate Bama or Saban...I respect them as the ideal. But I hate their fanbase & all the SEC Lemming fans whose team is mediocre so they hitch their wagon to Bama. It’s nauseating.

My hate for teams all have different reasons. I don't hate Bama because of Saban, it's that I hate how successful they are working within the system. More jealousy I guess. I don't fault them for absolutely doing everything they can to win. While I appreciate a lot of what ND stands for, I think they could do more without selling their souls.

A lot of the discussion was that Saban is not near as good when he only has one week to prepare, but is almost unbeatable when he has xx weeks to prepare. The outcome this week in the Bama/Clemson game IMO is another reason why an 8 team playoff is good for everyone not named Bama.

Stay classy Bama...

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nc...on-offense/ar-BBRYdqq?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U452DHP

Next, I'll be waiting for the Bama player who says "We weren't really into the game, we felt the SEC should have had 2 teams in the playoff, we felt slighted. That's why we didn't really care about this game"

Must have been watching a different game than Williams was playing. I saw some definite dimes thrown by Lawrence and at least one very nice throw that should have been a sack and resulted in a TD instead. I don't think Bama recorded a single sack, ND had at least 3. Clemson punted only 2 or 3 times and no turnovers. They punted 6 times in the ND game and fumbled. The offense was by no means easy for Bama or ND but I think the ND defense had better success despite giving up 30 points

This is the same dude that started to stay something negative about Kyler Murray and stopped mid sentence like Saban was in his brain. Kid just needs to stay away from microphones.
