This might be a hot take but, Why would the CFB world want a team that has made It to the Championship game want It to have the home-field advantage also?
I don't understand the reasoning...
I think that If an LSU team makes It to the end they should always keep the final game on a neutral site.

Tough to do when the bowl sites and rotations are set a couple years in advance. Can't move the venue based off of who advances at the last minute since many fans buy their plane tickets and reservations way ahead of time.

Clemson way to “cute” on offense - hand the ball off a few times . Wide option - obvious screens not a good choice- make them move the big guys back out there. Chassion and the speed rushers have minimal interest in stopping the run

But, as someone will point out, if you were bearing your opponent by 200 it wouldn’t matter if every call was bad! It’s really simple. Just don’t let it be close and then you can’t get screwed by the refs.

When was the last time Trevor Lawrence threw an accurate pass?

Funny thing is, if you go back and watch last years NC, he did NOT play lights out. His WRs were wide open, and the running game was dominant. He made one hard throw in the first half. The rest was pretty ordinary.

But since they were winning, about 50 posters a day would call him a generational talent.

Also funny that Burrow is now playing like the generational talent, and he couldn’t win the staring job at OSU. Turns out they are harder to spot than people think.

Ehhh...this LSU team is shaping up to be one of the best of the BCS and playoff era. That’s a pretty big corner.

They are basically the same team we played with 2 differences: 1) An offensive system that better maximizes their skill players, 2) A top ten draft pick at QB.

They are not suddenly a million times more talented than they were. They have an EXCELLENT QB and a good OC. That's the corner. It's not some insurmountable thing.

With this QB in this new offense, yes. But there is nothing from top to bottom about this team that's so different than prior years. My point is that small changes have gotten them there. One good coaching hire. One player. They are now championship quality.
