I posted this in Christian Hamilton's thread but thought it was appropriate here as well. He's talking about A&M's very large and coordinated effort with regards to NIL.

i am not surprised that college teams are using the NIL to flat out buy recruits. all this will do is widen the gap between the haves and the have nots.

This is always what it was going to be, unfortunately.

Arkansas and Ole Miss took QB commitments today. Rashada had visited both recently so I guess they bowed out not hearing better post visit.

Rashada likely ends up at Oregon, Miami or A&M is working their way in there.

Not much dominoes left.

So Rashada on the back of a OV to Ole Miss visited LSU today as an unofficial and will return for an OV. Never heard that move before.

Rashada riding Moore’s wake to probably a tasty NIL offer as the last elite QB standing?

LSU 247 guy thinks they land Moore, Rashada or Rickie Collins (not offered yet). So if actions speak louder than words:

ND
- All in on Moore

LSU
- Hosted Moore OV. Hosting Rashada OV in a few weeks. Haven’t offered the local backup Rickie Collins yet.

Oregon
- Hosting Rashada this weekend. Already hosted Moore. Offered 3 QBs since hosting Moore.

Logic says ND is not worried. LSU thinks they get one. Oregon is worried.

Louisville just landed one of their top recruits ever in Top 100 WR DeAndre Moore. 5th California kid, notably QB Pierce Clarkson and a Top 150 CB.

Not that Louisville is a little old underdog given their basketball program but they have been seen as a possible aggressor on the NIL front. Shoulda had Lance Taylor out on the west coast rather than Del apparently. A possible “win” I guess for parity

The Louisville athletic department has never had a money/booster/support/donors issue... it's always had a leadership issue.

As long as the cash is moving, the Cards should do okay in the NIL era.

Yup. Was heavily recruited to play baseball there and the deals they were giving me were pretty crazy compared to other top schools at the time. Lots of boosters are willing to contribute.

UC got eight (!) commitments this weekend during their big summer recruiting event.

They are now top-5 in 247’s composite class rankings.

That obviously won’t hold, but still pretty amazing for Luke Fickell to just keep trucking along in the recruiting office, despite losing guys like Freeman, Mason, Bowden, etc.

Go Bearcats.

There is a 2023 5 star committing today at 3 PM per Hayes Fawcett IG.

Carnell Tate maybe?

EDIT: Nevermind it might just be a top 5.

To close the loop on this, it was DL Peter Woods. Committing July 8th between Alabama, Jackson State, Clemson, and Florida. He has a bunch of Bama predictions on On3, but nothing since 2020 on 247.

I questioned Lance going to a job where the HC might get fired soon. I did not factor in a sleeping NIL machine that Lance suddenly will have better skill players then ND LOL

the cards have always been L'ville's pro franchise. Wondering if there's any money left over for the basketball program.

Alabama just landed the first guy Hubbard and have a CB for the second. Hubbard is a HS QB with only one other P5 offer that has never played safety that they project as a LB/S. Adams is a 5’10 white kid with great speed. 2 bookmarks for the next Bama would never take a kid like this type lol
