I think I've said it in 10 different places or in 10 different post-game and coaching threads, but I will never forgive BK and his staff for wasting Jaylon.

Jaylon is a transcendent talent that you craft a national-championship-caliber unit around if the talent is even just average... we put some of the worst defenses in ND history on the field with him.

As I said a few days ago, BVG was the worst thing to happen to ND football during BK's tenure. Which happens to also be partly BK's fault. The article that Lax posted is a good example of why ND should never be 4-8, but is also an illustration of the gap between 8/9 wins and consistently winning 10+

Florida signed a '17 class of twenty-three and, with a total of eighty-four, had room for one more. Zech Byrd, TE, who was committed to them since August, "decommitted" on NSD with rumors of academics as the issue. All Byrd has said was, "I don't want to talk about it."

Unsigned Florida 2017 commit mum on future

Florida has also been pursuing Clemson grad transfers, Jake Fruhmorgen, OL, who visited after NSD, and Scott Pagano, DT, who has now ruled them out. And, if the SEC changes its grad transfer rules, Malik Zaire, could be a possibility for that last scholarship. Florida has four returning TEs and added one more in the Class of '17.

Watched some QB "highlights" today and then stumped across this video. Just curious if anyone else has watched anyone else outside of Jurkovec and how you would rank

By the time a young man choses Notre Dame he is considering the choice for the rest of his life impact. That's why they go there. As it should be. But on the football field they are playing a schedule (most Saturdays) against guys who are in school because they have to be-- to hone their skills for the nfl ( whether they are going to make it or not). Its very easy to see the emotional and attitude difference between Notre Dame and their opponents most of the time. It will be interesting to see if all these new coaches etc will change that. I am starting to adjust my thinking that they may have enough talent to win 10 games most years if they played with the same attitude preparation and passion as the opponent. I think that's what's really hard to do at Notre Dame because unlike other places that ALLOW the player to glide thru and be football first ( I'm talking about the studs now ) at Notre Dame the young man is trying to be a college student who happens to play football on Saturday. They are playing against guys who are auditioning for the nfl ( still talking studs now ) so if you are-- you better match their desire and preparedness or you are going to get the results that we have seen (except for a few nice seasons) since Holtz left town. Notre Dame has sort of put itself in a tough position even though its probably the best thing to do. I will assure you when Alabama wins the national championship next year college life will not be in the way with its player preparation. That ladies and gentlemen of the jury is the difference.

Washington lands Yankoff to give them two top 100 qbs to go along with their five star gunslinger and GB's fourth ranked QB.

3 nice WRs to go along with them too

Just goes to show how important winning is. I remember when this program won one game and were the laughing stock of the PAC 12. They produce some high quality NFL players and going to the playoffs last year with some unbelievable talent they develop. Lake might be the best DB coach in the country. I would love some how if we pluked him away one day. Pay whatever it takes. Petersen is just an unreal coach and they might be the most underrated program in the country. Not to many teams can land a 5* QB and then a few months later land another top 100 QB. They will be running the north for a while. Just keep Jhop beat ass team down for a while. I hate Oregon and their moment in the sun just because of him. One day I'm gonna fight that dude starting it by cheap shottimg him in the nuts just to see if he has any.

Sounds like ol' Wiscy was looking for an excuse to cut ties.

You don't tell a kid he's "no longer a good fit" for tweeting out a new offer and contacting the coach that offered.

Lame ass smear attempt by Wisconsin, IMO. If you don't want him, tell him. Don't wait until he does a completely normal thing and then make him feel like he did something wrong.

Wiltfong in with an immediate CB for Florida.

They'll have no problem getting filling that spot.

Others in play are UGA, hometown team. Also Auburn, with the whole Cam Newton thing. Plays for his 7 on 7 team.

Read an article from a Florida source concerning Zaire, and why he should not be the starting QB for Florida this season (LOL), and they wrote as if it was a forgone conclusion that Fields would be a Gator, even before the decommit was announced.

Apparently Nussmeier has told people that he won't recruit another QB until he knows that Fields isn't an option. Basically saying that Fields has been a legit option this entire time.

Some of the top teams do not yet have QB commits. There will be some fierce competition for those left uncommitted.

2018 Top Quarterback Recruits

Alabama
Florida State
Florida
Georgia
USC
Auburn
Penn State
LSU

Fields and Corral fill two of those spots. Who goes without a top QB this year? Who do you think lands where?

Interesting that OU is allowing Mayfield to skate from his drunken escape last Spring with little consequence, and UT is going forward with a high school recruit who was convicted of distributing narcotics....new coaches Riley (OU) and Hermann (UT) resurrecting old SWC days when anything goes. Nothing learned from Baylor fiasco??

Bama and Georgia could both probably skip a QB in this class if they really wanted to. They both have sophomore QB's with stud frosh behind them. I don't even know if Bama is pushing for any of the top QB's, and Georgia could probably settle for poaching a 3-star kid if they lose Fields to Florida but still want to add a body at QB.

USC and FSU will be pushing hard for stars, because their time is limited with their stud incumbents.

Don't know where PSU stands, but it amazes me that schools like Auburn, Florida, and LSU can go years without finding capable answers at the position.

This is the typical cycle when UGA and Bama take some 3 star non athletic white kid with the WASPiest name they can find and have him ride the bench for 4 years before playing some as a 5th year senior
