I will simply state i have said nothing personal to anyone, im not the name caller. Im not the one yappin ban, im not the one calling ppl lollypop sucking troll. I simply made an offhand comment.
It's simple actually. Your 'offhand comment' was offensive to the recruit, whether he wants to be Irish or not (which, I guarantee you from what family members have said in other places, he'd definitely strongly consider the Irish if we offered). He even camped at ND and got a lot of positive feedback from the coaches. Let's say ND does offer...how stupid would we look by going overboard to talk trash about the kid??? As HTCI said, his comments spoke for themselves...no need to keep piling on a South Bend teenager with a bit of an ego.
Secondly, sorry if you take offense, but it doesn't matter if your father reads these boards because no one here knows you, no one at ND gives a sh!t about you, and no one cares if your father gets hurt by comments here about his son. Dieter, on the other hand, has been a recruit on ND's radar, has received some interest from ND, has camped at ND, and you never know, could be at ND some day (doubtful as it seems at this point). Comparing your dad and his dad are 2 completely different things.
My mother-in-law reads this board, and I've been called every name in the book, and many of those posts are still out there. I've had trolls make up usernames specifically written to bag on me ("NDinLADrinksPiss" LOL). Do you think I've ever said, "Hey, don't say that about me b/c my mother-in-law reads this site!" Of course not. But you better believe I've deleted tons of posts ripping potential ND recruits, because their families do read these sites, and what they think DOES matter. What our parents think means absolutely nothing as it pertains to this site.
