Counting Crows...was not a fan until this...um...unbelievable lady, brought all of her music over.

And SirDishands, that OPUS song Life is Life gets EVERYONE dancing, from kids to older kids. Call another song favorite of mine an atrocity, and I will ignore the new sign on your lawn.

I admit it. I "danced" a bit, but only because of the pot of coffee I drank before I viewed that dreck.

The roll of razor wire I ordered through my local Home Depot (enough to cover my front, back and side yards) is scheduled to arrive via UPS on Tuesday so you'd better damn well hurry your furry little fanny.

Thanks, ACamp. I remember when Blues Traveler opened for the Stones on their "Bridges to Babylon" tour. John Popper was in heaven, because he had always idolized the Stones. Somebody asked Jagger (a pretty bad-*** harp player in his own right) what he thought of Popper's harmonica playing. Jagger's response was "he plays too many notes." I guess Popper was devastated. Pretty cruel on Jagger's part, but pretty funny if you think about it.

Very old earbones stirring....Surprised to see how long it took for Santana's Black Magic Woman to show up here. Nice to see some Creedence fans, but no Eagles being Desperados at the Hotel California.

Clapton's Timepieces is uniformly great. But none of the other great Ax-man of Dire Straits doing Sultan of Swing though. BB King tells me that the Thrill is Gone, and How Blue Can I get?? And Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman probably isn't pretty enough, so I'm Only the Lonely on that.

I'll just assume that it's a Rainy Night in Georgia and babble my Brooke Benton way out of here. Oh...and disgusting as it might be to some, I'll put on a Stevie Nicks video and just sigh for a while to make it all better.

And Neutered---no bunnies. Haven't been to a formal affair in my life [except weddings]. Even wore a plain sweater to my Teaching Excellence award ceremony---appalling the ritual-minded. As to soccer: I'm just happy NOT to be "checking out" anytime soon. My forty stairs to the apartment are painful enough on the old mushy knees.

You certainly could have found far better examples for both Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton's musical abilities.

totally disagree with Knopfler, he never surpassed SoS, but that's my opinion...

Clapton??? (the artist I have dropped in this thread more than anyone)... well two things... of course he has many songs (most all of them) where he showed his mastery much more, but show me one where the two played together... that was my point (he has also said he loves just jamming with other artists, even if that means taking a step back, much more than doing the virtuoso thing many times during his career so yeah, not a big deal) ...


also, you can make some case for 'better example of" for just about every single artist dropped here so...
