You guys are saying this kinda shit just to rile up ol' Bug... aren't ya?

Haha no I promise. I just don't think he hits the extremes on the "craziness scale" that his character calls for. He's not bad by any stretch, but I'll have to think of who I would picture for the part.

I have a feeling that there will be more to this than we know currently. Just a hunch.

[/marks "x" on a calendar.... one month out]

For sure. His father is the key to everything, or else Slater wouldn't keep bringing it up. The question is whether or not his father was sympathetic to Mr. Robot.

Just kidding. I don't know who I would picture for it. The guy who plays Tyrell Wellick has the crazy thing down pretty good, so it would be hard to go much different than the way Slater plays it, I guess

I keep forgetting to post about how deliciously bizarre this episode was. Much different than past episodes. I was like "wut" the entire time.

I think Slater sticking with him through the detox is a big moment. He's turning into almost a father figure. Usually I can catch on that someone is in a dream sequence during a show, but this one threw me a curveball.

One of the best shows on TV.

I haven't watched it but I cannot stand that actor. He was in The Pacific and Need For Speed. Just something strange about him IMO.

Ahkmenrah?

Rami Malek? He must be a good actor, because he was really likable as the Egyptian prince; and I agree! He was really disturbing in the Pacific!

Even after he woke up in the hotel and Slater was still there, it had me so disoriented that I had to convince myself for 30 mins that he hadn't actually been to the crack house.

I was also pleased that Slater stayed with him through the withdrawals. Changed my mind on his character a bit. Maybe it's foreshadowing that he somehow feels responsible for Elliot. Perhaps he had a hand in Elliot's father's death, and wants to make up for it?

Also curious about all of the symbolism from his detox dreams...Some was obvious, like the key and the proposal and the raspberry pie. But the creepy Evil Corp guy sitting in the background during the convo with the fish, and the fish asking to be by the window, and then being eaten for dinner... wut.

Good point. Had me thinking the same way last night (might have been with Ecorp and had something to do with dad's death)

Fish scene was fantastic.... PUT ME BY THE WINDOW lol.

due to content/scene similar to today's violence, USA Network postponed the season finale of Mr Robot. Hate not being able to watch a finale I've been looking forward too, but happy to see the network being sensitive to the families. hats off to them.

I haven't been watching the show. Last night after Suits I did see the text announcement of the postponement. I was impressed with the executive that made that decision. It was sensitive and resonposible. It also guarantees there will be more viewers when shown.

About 50 years ago a friend had just seen a movie that he raved about, The Manchurian Candidate but wouldn't reveal the plot. Just mentioned Korean vets. By the time I got around to seeing it I couldn't find it. President Kennedy had been assassinated and the studio pull the movie.

Take a look at it BGIF, pretty decent show, and the directors style is pretty fun. Not a Slater homer like Wooly :)-)), but good stuff lol.

To my defense, how could somebody not love a guy that brought us groundbreaking characters like Arkansas Dave Rudabaugh and Brian Kelly from GLEAMING THE CUBE. ;)

I rest my case.

Seriously though, BGIF. Great directing and terrific plot. Really good show.

Finally got around to watching this series.

Wow. One of my favorite shows ever (for now, have to see how it progresses.) Love the tech stuff which is an added bonus for me, and anyone who is into that stuff. And its actually realistic (the tech stuff) unlike countless other shows and movies.

Yup I absolutely love it too. I am on episode 8 right now.

After hearing people rave about it outside of the board I finally gave it a try and man I am happy I did.
