Notice how bad most new movies are, and how hard people try to talk themselves into them being good (mostly the media)?

All the good plots were 80s, 90s, very early 2000s.

The new Roadhouse may be the worst movie I have ever seen

Watched "Roadhouse" the new 2024 one on Prime last night. Pretty entertaining. Connor McGregor is in there in a role you won't forget. Check it out.

An early dark horse candidate for a Best Supporting Actor nod? You heard it here first!

I don't think McGregor could have played his role any better. He was, literally, referred to as a maniac in the movie and played it perfectly.

Will be the next Riddler reboot for DC.

I can see his own franchise role with Puff Daddy when he gets pardoned by President Harris: Riddler vs Diddler.

Godzilla x Kong

Big loud big loud big loud

If that’s for you, it’s fun
Having grown up with the original King Kong and Godzilla movies the remakes up to now have been disappointing to me. Having said that, this is one I'm going to check out.

The Little Things (2021) on Netflix. Crime movie with Denzel Washington and Rami Malek. Not five stars, but worth a watch.

Really? I didn’t care for it. I thought Malek did a lot of overacting. Maybe I was just disappointed because it had so much star power (also stars Jared Leto) but just didn’t really live up to expectations.

Ive been watching Arnold in Pumping Iron in pieces when I have time. Very interesting to see the sport of bodybuilding behind the scenes back in the 1970s compared to how it is now. It seemed like such a small tight knit group back then where everyone knew each other and were more or less friends. Amazing to see the difference in technology/nutrition from then to now as well. Also, Arnold just had so much confidence and everyone else knew he was the best. Kind of reminded me of Tiger in his prime, when everyone else just sort of folded when they got near him.

Watched American Fiction on a plane to Los Angeles. Really liked it. Sterling K. Brown is great.

Watched Oppenheimer on the way home. It did not disappoint.

I watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri this afternoon. Heck of a good movie and cast. Frances McDormand is always great and Sam Rockwell (who won an Oscar for this one) is one of the best actors in the business. Peter Dinklage's role is small, but he's always exceptional. Just a really well-done movie in every way with a good story.

You really aren't gonna take credit for that, are you?
