Was thinking last week when I heard about Kelly going to Tampa (lol) that Lafleur would be a great replacement for him here at ND. Hope he kills it with the Pack!

He must interview really well. That's all I'm going say.

Packers must really need a QB-focused coach. QB performance has been a soft spot in their roster for YEARS...

Thanks to Sean McVay, and to a lesser degree Matt Nagy, the copycat League of them all is going to start looking for the youngest offensive minded coach they can find now.

This is the NFL. Just happens to be the latest cycle.

As a Bears fan, I'm thrilled with this hire. Don't think he'll be like McVay and Nagy at all. He's only play called for one year in his career.

Mike Sanford Jr. to the Cardinals is coming next, mark it.

As a Packers fan, I'm not a fan of this hire. I don't quite understand why you would take such a risk at the end of Rodgers' career. He had two good seasons as OC of Atl and LAR...does that really transpire to being worthy of HC of the GBP? No HC experience.

I hope they prove me wrong, but count me in the pessimistic crowd.

Talk about serious, serious career progression. ND QB coach to HC of the Pack in 5 years.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- On a winter night in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Matt LaFleur and Robert Saleh thought they were invited to a party at the home of their boss, Central Michigan University football coach Brian Kelly.

Turns out, they weren’t on the guest list.

They were on the worker list.

"We shoveled the snow and parked all the cars," Saleh said. "Then, at the end of the night, we had to go get the cars again."

And then they went back to the tiny apartment they shared as graduate assistants and stood around their kitchen table -- the one without any chairs.

"We decided that when we’re in that position, we’re never going to treat people the way we got treated," said Saleh, now the San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator. "And Matty’s lived up to it."

LOL.
