Best case for Freeman IMO, is that he can pull off the Dabo model. Took Dabo awhile to not lose games he should have won. One thing Dabo was able to do was get great QB play. Cures a lot of ills. Curious to see if Freeman has the stones to make a change there.

What makes this even worse (or funnier) is that Tressel made sure to call Freeman to make sure a result like this doesn’t happen. Yet Freeman was still too fucking stupid to figure it out.

I understand the perception but my opinion is that he’s not in over his head, especially during a presser. He’s proven that he’s a players coach and he’s not going to throw players or coaches for that matter under the bus. That typically means his pressers are lacking.

Let’s see how the rest of the season plays out.

Bringing in RL as opposed to someone else, bringing Denbrock back/not telling to run the ball more, not having the team ready for this game, not benching RL in this game, allowing a pass on 2nd & 1, etc., are all on MF.

As for how the rest of the season plays out: if they make the playoff and make some noise (i.e., winning a game or two) that's a good turnaround. If they don't make the playoff with this schedule, it is an all-time disaster and waste of a season. The fact that this sort of meltdown can happen at any given moment, even with a -28 line, is frightening.

I've just done a complete 180 on MF. Let the Willingham comparisons begin.
Once Deuce flips this might as well be the class to sacrifice with a coaching change. The offensive skills positions stink in this class anyways and there is enough depth in the program to be able to sustain some recruiting losses.

I would have felt that way if we lost last week and said damn scheduling gods why not start with a warm up game against a mac team like everyone else. Dabo wasn't losing games to sun belt teams
