Still think Marcus is a very good coach. But I think he made an awful decision in hiring Chris Ash.

He is a good coach just not very good.

No very good coach is going to let the 80 yr old Oc call a direct snap once 4 and 2 at mid field when it hasn’t been successful up to that point.

Love’s strength is straight ahead whispered and strength.

Do you really think the playcall was supposed to bounce toward the QB standing flat footed? Love was supposed to go North South, the alley was clogged so he tried to bounce it.

It shouldn’t have been called. At that point JD was the better back in the game. Spread them out and let JD attempt the 4th down. Does he get it idk but it is better than the wildcat.

Some of yall need to go to bed and put the device down.

I cannot believe that some of yall think Freeman should be fired after he led the team to a national championship last year, especially after coming within one score of tying it.

Haven't seen anyone asking for him to be fired this season yet, but he needs to not leave the gug until we are at least .500

But he hired bums, & we don’t win a nattie, we also haven’t won this year. Either do a complete 180 and win out, get to the playoffs or at least go 11-2 or get in the unemployment line. We should settle for nothing less & if you can’t make that happen get the fuck out.

We care about good young men and graduation rates not winning football games. Until you figure that out (which I did back in 1992) you will continue to be delusional and think that Notre Dame can win a national championship when that just simply is not true and will not happen.

I'm a fan regardless like I said but I have realistic expectations and now I don't have to focus so much wasting 4 hours watching them. 👍

Yeah, okay, but we were more talented on paper than both Miami and A&M. We were favored in both games. The problem wasn't the talent or the school's "commitment" to the FB program. It was coaching.

Instead of acting like he wanted to fight the Texas AM defender for the late hit he should be this mad at his team for their mistakes and and the coaches for not doing better.

He's been oddly passive this year. I found his postgame speech after Miami to be a little flat and overly at peace with the loss. I didn't expect him to rant in front of the team, but I don't know, his phrasing about a "3 point loss on the road to a top 10 team" or whatever just sort of made losing seem okay. The guy who punked Cig, outfoxed Kirby Smart, and took Little Game James comments personally, he's not on the sidelines this season. Don't know where he went.

Luke Fickel will likely be available after Wisconsin fires him later this season. Seems like a no brainer.
If he can't make it at Wisconsin, do you think he'd actually make it at Notre Dame? Yes, a no brainer NOT to hire him.

Was a little surprised at his post game presser when he said that he needed to look at film to determine what needs to be done to improve. I am willing to give him a pass as hopefully he was just trying to use coach speak after a tough loss but man… you gotta have some sort of idea as the game progresses as to what adjustments need to be made.

Coach has always been political in his approach to the media. I’m sure he has an idea and stuff going on behind the scenes.

Riley Leonard was a leader & a bigger loss than I expected; you can't coach leadership. Someone on this team needs to step up and be a leader.

Firing Freeman would be a HUGE mistake, if they want to fire someone get rid of Ash and move Mickens to the DC.

There is a better chance of me having a threesome with Salma Hayek and Ana de Armas than Freeman getting fired. You are right, it would be catastrophically stupid to fire Freeman. I am confident he will right the ship with the staff issues, although that most likely means canning Ash.

I don't think anyone is suggesting Fickel at head coach that would be idiotic. Would he work for Freeman? I doubt it but you never know.
