I’m hoping we’re over the hump. We absolutely destroyed bad teams last year. Not even sweat in any of those games. It was impressive. The big road games seemed to be our bugaboo and hopefully last night kicked it to the curb.I saw a stat on ESPN that this is his 8th ranked win already and he's one game into his 4rd season... crazy...
His issue has not been "getting up for big games" it has been the toe stubs against crap opponents (i.e. Marshall, Stanford, etc.)
LOVE Elko, but compare these vibes to his gut in that thin white pullover...
One of the coolest things I've heard a HC say.
Got the boys fired up! Complete reversal of BK's reaction to Hard Rock in 2017.Loved seeing him yapping pregame coming out of the tunnel.

ND fans to get up and cheerWas he yelling at A&M fans? If so, put up a fucking statue for him now.
Damn. I was hoping he was about to go full Ron Artest.ND fans to get up and cheer
He was doing all of the above. He was facing down everyone and not averting his eyes and he was trying to show the young men there's nothing to fear here. I loved that clip when I saw it Sunday morning. Was he yelling at A&M fans? If so, put up a fucking statue for him now.
Clark Lea is doing his thing too.I would think a contract extension and raise is coming sometime this year. I would offer him a contract better than Kelly got from LSU. Hypothetically if Freeman would ever leave whose the guys who you would want to come in a replace him? I think Elko would be at the top of the list.
It appears he's also better in preparation. There was a question about why use signals when Leonard had the ear piece in his helmet. MF stated that even with the ear piece it might be hard to hear and get it relayed to the rest of the O. Problem solved.Biggest thing I notice about Freeman this year is that he looks infinitely more comfortable on the sidelines. First two years he looked uncomfortable. Either he knew the TV cameras were on him constantly or was just uncertain when to insert himself into issues on the sideline
I'm still pulling for him in Nashville. He had a rough two years and I believe I've read some rumors of hot seat discussions, but kudos for a guy leaving for a great opportunity to lead his alma mater at what has proven to be easily the most difficult job in the p4. That was a bit time win against VT for that program and Coach Lea.Clark Lea is doing his thing too.

ND locked up Golden and Denbrock before this season, I agree after this season I think Freeman will deserve a contract extension and raise.I would think a contract extension and raise is coming sometime this year. I'd lock up Rudolph to he deserves a raise plus Mickens, and McculochND locked up Golden and Denbrock before this season, I agree after this season I think Freeman will deserve a contract extension and raise.
Yes- I agree to all 3. With the addition of Denbrock this has got to be one of the best coaching staff ND has had in long time.I'd lock up Rudolph to he deserves a raise plus Mickens, and Mcculoch
Same wavelength lol. I have to imagine the value of the marginal dollar spent on this coaching staff is much higher than the marginal dollar spent on NILYes- I agree to all 3. With the addition of Denbrock this has got to be one of the best coaching staff ND has had in long time.
Oregon spent 23 million on their current incoming class/transfers and Ohio St. spent 20 million. I am curious to know what ND spent.Same wavelength lol. I have to imagine the value of the marginal dollar spent on this coaching staff is much higher than the marginal dollar spent on NIL
Extension is being worked on.I saw Prister replied to a post on 247 about Freeman getting an extension.
What did he say? My sub there expired on Sunday.
If Golden stays, the only way Mickens stays is if they quietly agreed upon him being the DC in waiting.I'd lock up Rudolph to he deserves a raise plus Mickens, and Mcculoch
That’s too early to be doing atm. You will know by November where you stand. Giving him a 6 year deal for $7million/year was way too much for a first time HC.Extension is being worked on.
It’s ALWAYS early to be doing atm. 🤮That’s too early to be doing atm….
