The Kool Aid is too intoxicating and comforting. Freeman is Knute, Ara, and Lou all rolled into one. There are pre order championship shirts being invoiced as I type. Remember this year was the rebuilding year, next year is the Championship march. The hysteria is F'ing insane. The hangover after reality hits will be sad to witness, and Freeman should not to be blamed for delusional fans and an incompetent administration.

Ok we'll start being sad now.

I'm still looking for the first positive thing you've ever said about this program.

Are we 100% certain this is going to happen? I was expecting an announcement about a press conference to formally make the introduction in the upcoming days. If this extends into the weekend and Cincinnati loses, is Fickle back in play? I know they need to vet Freeman, but I would guess they did an extensive background check when he was hired as DC.

If I had to guess, they're doing the ol' O'Leary Discount Double Check while waiting for Fr. Jenkins to return from Rome.

Let me get this right because it took me a second. One of our 2022 commits had visits and in home visits set up with other schools but decided to cancel those after talking with Freeman?

Me too. I first read it as the visit with Freeman was cancelled by the recruit.

He is signed, sealed and delivered. The only thing they are waiting on is for Jenkins to come back from overseas. There is nothing to worry about at all.

should ND fans be worried that the ND football program will be lead next season by a 35 year old with no head coaching experience and a 29 year old OC/QB? i like both MF and TR but man thats a lot of pressure for two young guys who no longer have the 60 year old BK to lean on for knowledge, advise and answers when things start getting tough.

No I don't think so. They both seem very mature. They both are good coaches. And they both have had good experiences at other places. They are young and can relate to the recruits.

Maybe Jack is actually Savvy.

Swarbrick is amongst the most savvy. ND sports have never been this good. He's kept us included in the CFP, yet not fully aligned with a conference (and no conference WANTS us in the CFP but Independent).

Tommy's been under intense pressure since he put the gold helmet on. Something tells me he'll be just fine.
