Major Program (Oregon) In Hot Water

Posted over on mgoblog about a supposed Major D1 team that has some pretty damning evidence unearthed against it. As per the poster:

Apparently a major news source is about to publish a report about a major D-1 school that not many would expect. There are supposed to be names, dates and amounts. It was stated that it close to coming out, maybe before Summer. They have to get all of their facts straight before coming out with it. It's supposed to be a huge news story and sounds like it could absolutely devastate whichever school it is. A lot of people are speculating that it is PSU or ND.

Of course they are speculating that it is us, why not they hate us... Be interesting to see who it might be. Posted here as the wild, rampant unverified speculation is ND.

Well to be honest, I appreciate their sentiment that when the "source" says it's someone no one would expect, they immediately think ND. I'm proud! We are that benevolent!

The speculation grew to a Major Midwest team because the guy who posted it is a mid-west reporter. PSU, ND, Illinois?

Believe me, I would be devastated if it was us but we have had a few instances this season which could be the issue. Maybe they found something new about the Seeberg incident. I'm purely speculating but I do not think it would be a HUGE shocker if it was us.

Tennessee would not be a shocker to anyone. Their baseball, football, and basketball team have been under investigation for the last 23 months. However, that story already broke so that's not who it is.

Really wouldn't suprise me to see an SEC school involved in some serious allegations.

I believe only two members of the S.W.C. weren't impaled by the NCAA prior to its implosion. UTx wasn't one of them. Texas boosters payed Davy Crockett's way to the Alamo.

If Vandy has been involved in any kind of scandal it would be a sad day in Nashville because it's all gone for not. They are still horrible in terms of their football program and only remain in the SEC to bolster their academic statistics. I do agree that it would throw a lot of people for a loop if Vandy was involved. I look for the usual suspects such as:

Arkansas
Auburn (maybe the reason Auburn has not been hammered for the Cam Newton scandal is because it's all being put into one bashing)

I think Tressel runs to clean of a program to participate in anything major.

Maybe JoePa is so out of tune with reality that his assistants felt the need to make up ground in recruiting by cheating.

There's so much speculating that's going on right now and it's really all for fun. Nobody knows anything at this point. You could even point to Stanford at this point and wonder how Harbaugh was able to turn that program around and make it work with such high academic standards. Who knows at this point.
