Heisman favorite? Too early to tell really. But my top five would be:
1) Robert Griffin III
2) Trent Richardson (trending upward)
3) Russell Wilson
4) LaMichael James (trending upward)
5) Andrew Luck
Most impressive thing about BK:
How complete of a coach he is.
Notre Dame has had some really bad coaching hires the last 15 years and it cost them. Davie just didn't work out, (O'Leary lies,) Willingham was lazy, Weis couldn't run an actual program. Kelly though, manages the entire program with excellence. Top to bottom everything has changed in under two years. A ton of people thought that he couldn't coach a defense and would win games 50-45 all of the time, and they were wrong.
Notre Dame has a legitimate program now and will ascend up to being elite, there is no doubt in my mind. What I really love is the offense against Purdue, that will not be the height but the norm. The Irish have put up 500+ yards of offense three times already this season, and will probably due so three or more times this season. Get used to it people, the Irish are going to start looking like Brian Kelly's teams should...really, really good.
Disappointed with? Nothing really. I can't think of anything that makes me go "well he should have improved that," except maybe the unspeakably horrible tragedy with Sullivan. That will always be there for Kelly. I certainly don't want to push this thread that direction but it will always be there for him.
Overall I'm just really happy to see a real college football coach coaching at Notre Dame.
