The lions wanting bk and bk taking an interview are completely different though. I know you know that, so I'm not trying to be a prick, I'm jut saying. There's nothing out there to think bk would be interested at all.

I agree. But JimmyMac originally posted about recruits and them hearing rumors. These are young kids. Hearing a rumor of BK and the Lions even if the word interview isn't included could reasonably cause the same concern on their end. And we may know there is nothing to think BK is interested, but them hearing his name and the Lions in the same rumor may play different to them.

Personally I don't think he goes. But remember he has a long history in the state and family ties.

Well Chet popcocky has sources so it must be legit. And Sabans going to Texas.

I never fucking said it was legit. I said there were rumors... Leading to the point that Irish Insanity is making.

Who would you suggest?

I just don't want an old guy like Mack Brown who has done nothing but regress overall the last 5 years. I don't want to throw out names right now because I don't think there's any reason to think Kelly is leaving right now. But I wouldn't want Brown.

At least we're not Michigan right now. They're speculating that their coach is gone because he sucks.

I have no inside info ever, but I highly doubt bk leaves. He's worked way to hard to get the ball rolling on modernizing ND.

Until this rumor storm passes, I would highly suggest reading mgoblue blog. It's better than sex.

Lions coaches, front office might be fired after finale - NFL.com

Here are a few gems:

This team is....
1. Uninspired.
2. Poorly coached everywhere.
3. Not talented.
4. Slow
5. Out of shape.
6. Unathletic
7. Worse than 2010.

This is an embarrassment to Michigan Football. Brandon I have lost faith in you and your judgement. Brady is merely a Michigan fan...not a head ball coach. As long as Brady is the head coach here...we top off at 9 wins. Im disgusted and so should you be. We are a coward fan base and university if we stand for this level of mediocrity. Entire staff needs to be replaced. Anything less is cowardice.

I have watched some bad Michigan teams over the years but I have never felt like this. Even with RR I felt a glimmer of hope for the future. We fucking suck and we will continue to suck until this coaching staff is gone in 2 years. How fucking depressing to have this hopeless feeling

At least this team lost in the B-Dubs bowl and not the pizza bowl because they wouldn't have beaten Pitt or Bowling Green either.

Good god now they are almost compelled to fire Schwartz.

There was no way he was staying, even if they won 42-0 today. I don't care what Schefty says. It would be a slap in the face to their fan base. Not that the Lions haven't done stupid shit before.

Sorry, but there are plenty of scenarios where you live with a mediocre coach for another season rather than paying $12mil to have him go away. Especially if you're not sold you can get a better coach for an affordable amount.

The Fords may have an issue with being too loyal, but they certainly don't lack for resources. When you know the guy you have can't do it and you would have the most attractive job to be open in the league this year, I think you take your chances that you can bring someone in that will be an upgrade. There are plenty of guys who have demonstrated more success in the NFL than schwartz that aren't currently head coaches. Any one of them would be an improvement.

Even after today's disaster in Minnesota the Lions are still leaning toward keeping Schwartz

As a Lions fan there is always hope the 1st half of the year say they go 6-2, then during the 2nd half go 1-7 they just make you feel stupid for believing they would get into the playoffs.-It's something you deal with every year since the Wayne Fontes/Scott Mitchell era.

If I were a Lions fan and they keep him I would be finished with the team.

If I was a Lions fan I would have been done with that team a long time ago....the very thought, of being a Lions fan makes me wanna eat a gun.

As a Lions fan the thought has crossed my mind. But this holds little weight coming from a Cubs fan.
