Interesting thread over at elevenwarriors where they discuss which of the two hated teams they will root for. While their are answers for both teams, it appears the Bama/SEC hate > ND hate.

I always find it humorous reading pOSU threads that call ND fans obnoxious. If I lived in the south I might think different, but since I'm exposed to pOSU fans on a regular basis, I can't think of a more obnoxious fan base. The whole "THE Ohio State University" drives me insane.

for the record, I would be happy to pay 2x face value, half price is too good to be true!

Any way to make sure the students don't scalp their tickets? I'm sure there are more than a few with zero intention of going to the game submitting to the lottery for profit.

I agree here. It makes total sense to hold up a conference sign when you just won that conferences championship game. I think the negative response to this is simply an overreaction to the legitimate argument that SEC teams (or fans of those teams) brag about being in the SEC even when their teams record/performance is nothing to brag about.

But Alabama players holding up a SEC sign after winning the SEC title game makes perfect sense.

Can we please take all the talk about AJ McCarron's mom to the "gentlemen's club" please. I really enjoy being on Irish Envy, it is my #1 site for ND football talk. But I really hate sitting next to my wife on the couch and having all this kind of dialogue going on. After all this is primary thread for the National Championship game.

Long story short, it's causing my wife to wonder what I am reading/looking at when I have nothing to be in hot water about. Thanks.

And I agree with you wholeheartedly. It's weird being in class and then seeing Mrs. McCarron's huge...tracks of land, and having to quickly scroll away from it.

Besides we're ND fans and can do better than talking about a QB's mom publicly.

I have to get going so I don't have time to look this up, but since we have 40 days to discuss, would someone like to start a discussion on BK's career against SEC teams or teams that play like SEC teams (i.e., primarily ground and pound, great defense).

Where is this "gentlemen's club" that I hear about. It was mentioned a few days ago and I looked for it and couldn't find it.

The way I go to it is by clicking on User CP in the header bar, clicking on the Social Groups link on the left hand navigation and there it is "The Kate vs Alyssa Thread Group (aka The Gentlemen's Club)" in the list of links.

There might be a quicker way, idk.

The email to the students states that the tickets won through the lottery must be picked up in person at the stadium a day or two before the game.

So at the very least, these students would have to make the trip to Miami (which is expensive in its own right).

The logistics behind these ticket allocations is fascinating. Makes me wonder about becoming a hobby scalper. Get "season" tickets every year from the host bowl to lock down NCG tickets. Same as submitting for NCAA Final Four ticket lotteries and other things. May be a side thread topic if others are knowledgable of such things.

I believe they will go unused. In entering the lottery, the student must pay for the full price of the ticket. If they win, they "own" the ticket, and the ticket becomes non-transferable, non-refundable, etc.

FYI, i had a similar issue as i like to read this during downtime at work. There is a toggle in user CP that will make it so all photos and videos just show up as links. That way someone would actually have to come all the way over and read the text to know about the depraved **** you're looking at, lol.

Follow OrangeBowl on Twitter, once they hit 10,000 followers they are giving away 2 tickets to the NCG. Almost as good of odds as the ND ticket lottery!

If they win, they "own" a ticket, which becomes non-transferable, non-refundable, etc. So unless there is a deadline for the students to pick up their tickets at the stadium, I would think that the unclaimed tickets would have to go unused.

College Football Lives Joe Schad is reporting that Coach Diaco could become the BC head coach before the NC and therefore not coach in the game.
