Not sure where to post this but this thread looks as good as any. This Saturday, while wearing my usual ND hoodie and hat, I was called a bandwagon fan!! At first I was a little pissed but then I got the biggest ****ing smile on my face! For so long I've gotten **** for supporting an underachieving Irish team that it feels wonderful to get **** for supporting a team that is clearly relevant again. Loving the hate!!!

I laughed at this post. Someone started crap with me to; but then someone called me the wagoneer. Just feel free to use that with anyone Lou, as in: "Hail yes, I am the dod gamed wangoneer!"

I think what ND has going for them is that the team is greater than the sum of its parts, which they have proven all season. I haven't watched much 'Bama ball, but my feeling is that they are exactly as good as they are supposed to be, which is still pretty damn good. But the Irish have been beating all the odds this season; they're just winners, plain and simple. I'll take those intangibles over Alabama's title game experience any day.

When do you think will be the best time to buy tickets? Now? In a few weeks? In the parking lot before kickoff? My buddy wants to hold off until we get to Miami, but was wondering how wise of an idea that would be.

*Our budget is 4k for a pair if that helps

You can get that now if you look around. A local Craigslist ad had 8 tickets for $1800 each. Stubhub has had them for a while within your budget.

I see on stubhub cheap seats are going for around 1300, but what I was wondering is if people think the prices will go up or down from until kickoff?

Yeah, it's not just the criminal factor, but also the LE factor. That's just a bunch of money to take a chance with, especially after getting to Miami and staying at a hotel.

The odds of getting scammed are slim but it WILL happen to a fair amount of people looking for a deal. I would want to guarantee myself a seat and buy now... also the tail gate does not need to be interrupted.

Yes. This was a major part of my thinking. The BCS Championship is not the place you want to worry about getting tickets. Just have them in hand and go enjoy yourself. Especially if you are already budgeted out to a price that will get you tickets. I also think there will be a slim chance of getting scammed, but that would suck major league if it happened.

As soon as it became clear we were gonna win the Southern Cal game, I realized that sports talk would be full of (mostly) positive Irish discussion from here till January.

Make sure there are some reflective/halographic pieces on it, logos and such. I'd have an idea of what section numbers are and that kind of information.
