Are there places where a hit and run is NOT a big deal?

Leaving the scene of an accident isn't the same as a hit and run. It's not a hit and run if there was no other party involved in the accident.

In NY it's a lesser penalty to leave the scene of an accident than it is to drink and drive, so if you're drunk and hit a tree, it's best to just walk away.

OSU Star RB Ezekiel Elliott -- Cited in Car Crash | TMZ.com

Ohio State star running back Ezekiel Elliott was cited over the weekend for driving on a suspended license following a car crash in Columbus.

According to Columbus Police Department, the accident occurred around 1:30 PM Sunday on State Route 315. Elliott told police he hit a puddle, hydroplaned, and lost control of the vehicle ... hitting another car. Police say the other driver had minor injuries and was not hospitalized.

Elliott was cited for not having an operator’s license, failure to control and driving under a suspended license.

So far, no court date has been set.

It's not a big deal if he stayed and was legally allowed to be driving, but if his license was suspended, his ass needs to be suspended.

I never trust what a coach says in public before a game.. I would think he would want our staff to hear that. I am sure our staff will continue to game plan from what they say on tape, not what OSU is saying to the media.
