The play was throw the deep flea, period. That's how the coaches drew it up, guaranteed... Don't even mention second options.

Just got home from work. Has the playcalling been this terrible all game?

Yes. Worst play call came on the first drive. Slow developing zone read on 4th & 1... Adams tackled in the backfield. If that was converted, the Irish were getting points.

Hasn't gotten any better since then.

He either throws to the wrong guy or makes a terrible throw to the right guy. I was cautiously optimistic the time off would have benefitted him.

Thank God their special teams have been awful. That, and some great play by Love, Coney and Martini are the only things keeping the Irish in the game.

Edit: Tranquil is playing really well too and deserves some credit!
