Honestly, as far as I'm concerned we can vacate every win since 1945 and i wouldn't give a darn, but don't take away any of our scholarships especially when we dont use them all the times anyways and wind up losing them would our players (a) get suspended (b) hurt (c) transfer

A non-insider at ND who is a college football has-been strongly indicates (to me) a Board of Trustees type of source. Which further indicates it's nothing like a transfer and relates to something higher-level.

We hold ourselves to higher standards. NCAA would've simply laughed at what we called 'academic violations.' We will destroy the team because of it.

Yea, I don't get it. Shit like this gets leaked all the time. I can't remember a time where something like this has happened to any national program where there weren't a lot of public talk first. How the hell have we known nothing prior to now?

If we get punished like that, but Miami and UNC basically walk away from "violations of the decades" type infractions, that should be the nail for the NCAA. We had players do something wrong. When we learned about it, we kicked them out. Almost every team does that. Except, in our case, what they did wrong pales in comparison to say, rape (Michigan) or violent assault (Alabama/Michigan)---and the NCAA isn't doing anything about those because they took care of things themselves (except for Michigan).
