Obviously I don't know for sure, but I would bet the coach knew he had some type of problem with his hand. Even if his coach didn't know, I'm okay with him playing with a broken digit or two if he can tolerate the pain, which it appears he could.

Our maximum back in the day was four. With that the whole hand bends. no good.

Did you ever play with a phalanges, let alone a metacarpal broken? Certain digits may be usless to player who play certain positions, but they sure do hurt when they get bumped!

I am currently playing basketball with a broken thumb on my shooting hand.

I don't have a coach to tell or not tell, so this doesn't related, but want you guys to know how bad ass I am.

Playing basketball with a broken thumb while typing out a post on IE!?!?!

That's hardcore.

Fuck it. Cut 'em off and get back in there.

I disagree with Wooly but I do think most of us are missing his point.

He's not questioning playing/not playing with a thumb injury, but the fact that he withheld the info from his head coach.

Exactly! Thanks Koon.

To add to that, i'm not even saying that him lying to his coaches is a bad thing, rather just that it's something worthy of the coaches doing their due diligence on.

Pretty nice group of updates today....

Shea Patterson is a new name to watch for at QB in 2016. He lives in Louisiana but is originally from Toledo OH. He is actually good friends with Deshone Kizer and Shea's father lived in South Bend for a time. He is currently committed to Arizona, where his brother is a GA. If ND offers, they will be major players.

Miles Boykin wants to decide by August and ND is ok with his timeline.

Near certain chance Adonis Thomas makes it to campus for the II camp. He is coming with an asst coach who is a huge ND fan.

Look for TN TE Jackson Harris to get an offer soon. ND shoud be in the mix once an offer comes.

Look for CeCe Jefferson to end up at FLA. The firing of Muschamp will probably have an effect though. ND still pushing here.

Dexter Williams will probably be back in play at soem point after his pledge to Miami.

Todd Wofford, coach for Adonis Thomas and TJ Jones, had glowing remarks about BVG. He has known him since he was the DC at UGA and says he will be an excellent recruiter for ND. I agree with him.

Porter Gustin will probably be offered very soon.

2016 ATH Daelin Hayes is back in the mix after LaFleur visited his school last week. Mich and MSU lead.

Desmond Fitzpatrick did not make a visit last week but his parents came on their own. That probably bodes well.

2015 DB Elijah Jones is a name to remember as he was invited to the II camp.

2015 DB Ronnie Harrison is another name to remember. Harry Hiestand's son, Mike, was in contact with him while he was a GA at FIU. BVG will visit him

Yeah, can't say I have ever heard of parents making a visit on their own. Either they want to get a feel first and then let their son visit after they make their own initial judgement or they really like ND.

Fitzpatrick has actually already visited with his father a few weeks ago, but his mom wanted to get a feel for ND as well. He is expected to be back on campus next month. Things seems to be trending well for ND.

This made me wonder for a moment if I'd been living under a rock since the end of football season and missed something big. Haha. I guess you mean, we are continuing to recruit Jefferson because if Muschamp gets fired at some point before signing day Jefferson will be in play?

Muschamp is very lucky that he coaches at the University of Florida. From what I've read there are a number of exceptional players in this class that grew up big time UF fans. Now UF has always been able to recruit but if Muschamp was at say Michigan this years class would be nothing compared to what it will be if he even has a average year.

I made my maiden voyage (with my wife) to ND so that I could scout it out for my stepdaughter. Ok, so I was going to the Ryder Cup at Medinah, but I did make the trip to South Bend none the less. I approve of this move.

So....pending Anzalone transfer? Talk about irony!

In regards to Milton, the DT from LA, ISD says they wouldn't be surprised if he was offered down the road. The staff is currently recruiting other D Linemen, but like the way Milton plays. The offer might not be coming soon, but if/when it does, ISD wouldn't be surprised if he jumped on it.

I can see it now. Big interest in ND, we slow play and miss on higher prospects, and in the meantime some other school wins him over.

I'd rather we offer now, but let's see what BVG has up his sleeve.

I would rather we wait and go after the top guys on the board then just settle for someone because he might jump on the offer

I'll do this past week to make up for me being a dick all week.

Dexter Williams plans on being at the II camp. He is WIDE open. Playing time will be a factor.
Ray Ray McCloud will be also be here. It's believed Florida leads with Clemson second. Parents will have a say in his final decision.
Jacques Patrick feels like a FSU lean. He "really, really likes ND." It will be FSU or out of state
staff believes we have as good of a chance as anyone to pull Sosa Jambo. GBdomer thinks OU leads
Charles Omenihu sticks with Texas
Grabbing Sanders won't impact Ryan Newsome. Staff really wants Newsome
They think Jozie Milton will get an offer
Cameron Ordway is learning more and more about ND thanks to Booker
If we make some noise with Ray Ray it will help us with Deon Cain. They are very tight
Our sources Down South tell us Georgia defensive end Austin Bryant and Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith have indicated they’re going to try to make it to the Irish Invasion as well
Will Gragg will visit ND twice maybe before he makes his decision.
r Lokeni Toailoa. Toailoa told us the offer “changes up the whole game” He wears 5 because of Manti and is a ND type kid. My favorite saying

This has been reported by 247 as well. Very glad to get confirmation by ISD. Newsome would be a huge get
