Is ND really pursuing National Championships?

We'll see what happens tonight, but if we lose it's probably going to be because we only scored like 14 or 17 or something, not because the defense was bad. The point about the lack of a passing game isn't wrong. Especially considering that we're going against a QB who is a better thrower and apparently would have come to ND if he'd been our top choice last offseason. (Not that he would have been the better option given our other offensive players.) Obviously, the game will answer some questions.

I agree that MF has proved himself as a coach this season, though, which is good news. And lack of support from the administration does not seem to be a big problem right now, either.

This team, as presently constructed, is really not that different than Michigan last year. And the superteam era is ending, so what you need to win a natty may be different now/going forward.

(all that said I'd feel better about our chances if we had a legit downfield passing game. I do think that helps you beat good teams lol)

This goes beyond all of that. We don’t have a head coach with the mindset to win a national championship. Look at who they accepted in the portal. Riley, Oben and this punter.

I think most of us knew this would never happen again but we were trying to be hopeful.
