At this point I think there’s zero reason any Chinese citizen should be admitted to our universities or allowed unsurveilled into our country

Last, these Chinese "students" are trying to smuggle illegal pathogens into the US. It's like you were born last year and have no recollection of Covid's origin or where it came from. Good Lord.

The FBI has said it has about 2,500 active counterintelligence cases, related to China.

A U.S. House Homeland Security report identified 60+ espionage or repression cases in just the past ~4 years across multiple states. A broader study found 224 reported espionage incidents since 2000.

Great, so I expect you to not comment on any foreign policy decisions by anyone outside of the US. See how stupid that sounds?

I was saying that as a joke because of how retarded it is to turn away an entire population because of a minority of bad actors.

Pre-Covid Chinese tourists were bringing 30B to the economy annually. Maybe they aren’t visiting rural PA so you don’t think it impacts the economy.

I’m not defending them? Skin them alive, I do not care about people caught doing any of this. But if you and Virginia are scared of some random Chinese tourist coming to spend a week in NYC to visit 5th avenue maybe you shouldn’t leave your house because there’s much scarier things out there.
The US closing its borders to a foreign state who is communist, whose gov hates the US, and who regularly sides with the enemies of the US is not crazy. These students trying to bring illegal substances to our country is one more justification and it's happened more than once.

The US does not need Chinese tourists for our economy to thrive.

Rural PA? My house is 12 miles from the city limits of Philadelphia, the 5th largest city in the country. Ya turd.

And this isn't about fear. It's about recognizing the reality of serious danger at our doorstep and mitigating risk whenever possible.
