I know i said i was going to predict our record this early but i am going with 7-5. I want it to be better but i think USC, OU when we play them are probably going to be top 5 teams. Not that we can't beat them because we could. I think the BYU games is going to give us problems along with Michigan and Stanford.

Tommy is the starter and the team finishes 7-5 with Kelly losing his job. He and Tommy then get married and spend the rest of their lives together.

I think I may be the only person not worried about the WR corps. I have a feeling that, with the right QB (AKA not Rees), these WRs will be able to get open in space and make some noise. I feel that the ball will be spread out much more, thereby allowing for better running lanes, AND more mismatches for Eifert to exploit.

Of course this only occurs if we have a real threat to tuck and run under center along with decreased turnovers.

No, I agree as well. People have been bashing our WRs but they are overlooking subpar QB play for an entire year. I think we are above average in the WR area, we just need a decent QB to prove that to be true.

A 62% probability of beating Michigan is too high. They basically ran two different offenses in their past two wins, yet averaged 492 yards per game and 31.5 points. The same guy responsible for most of the yards is back for a third go round. So, I put this more in the tossup category. Our young talent on offense better play well, because Denard Robinson will.

8-4 again. Signs of progress with our usual dumb mistakes. People will be getting angry at the end of this year due to a lack of true "big wins" and some impatient people will begin questioning Kelly. But 2013 is the year...

Regular season 7-5 or 8-4 with a bowl win. We are screwed either way with our qb situation. If Rees starts well we all know with him, and if he does NOT start then we still will have inexperience at the position.

We go 1-1 in the Michigan/Michigan State games, 1-1 in the Stanford/Miami games, lose to Oklahoma and Usc and most likely have a WTF loss in there as well.

If we go 9-3, that means we won a signature game and will be BCS bowlin'.

edit - As long as we look good in the losses. If we lose to USC, Mich and OU all by double digits and sqweek by Miami and MSU, then we will be in a stupid bowl again.

I say 12-0...because I feel in my guy this. is. the. year. for the irish! Slam me, whatever...we will be in a BCS game this year, and we will whoop Michigan, and I say we beat USC in a last second FG attempt and win by 1 point. :) Your welcome.

I think it is too low of a probability. I would say 75% chance of winning against Michigan.

If our coaches can teach our CBs to turn their heads around and look for the ball, we will have five or six interceptions against DR. He is a terrible passer.
We may actually be a much better team without Floyd. When the QBs first three options are Floyd if he is open, Floyd if he is single covered, Floyd if he is still upright in spite of how many people are guarding him how do any of our receivers have a chance to "step up?"
Years ago when Cincinnati had Oscar Robertson as their "main man" who always got the ball when they really needed a score with the game on the line(sound familiar?) they get knocked out of the NCAA tournament every year. When he graduated they didn't have any one to go to, so they played as a team and won two in a row, and almost a third as they played as a team.
I think that this may happen to ND this year(and may be happening to our BB team now).
If so, 12-0 or 11-1.

Miami is not good, BYU is better to take that slot

In your guy huh? Please do explain.. wait, maybe don't.

I wish I could share your optimism but I've tempered my expectations this year. 9-3
